Robert works for leading corporates, financial institutions and intermediaries on a wide range of corporate, structured finance and banking transactions. Robert’s practice covers corporate (including IPOs, redomiciliations, M&A, joint venture work and re-structurings); capital markets (debt and equity); exchange-traded products; and banking/finance. He acted on a number of high profile transactions in 2011 and headed the team which advised Glencore on its IPO. That IPO was one of the largest ever and resulted in Glencore being listed on both the London and Hong Kong stock exchanges. He advised: Charter International plc in 2011/2012 in relation to its $2bn acquisition by Colfax; and INEOS in 2011 on its joint venture with PetroChina, involving a US$ 1.015 investment by PetroChina. Robert also acts for ETF Securities, a major company in the exchange-traded products sector.
