The team’s client base is predominantly international companies and Oury Clark regularly advise HR in different jurisdictions on the specificities of UK law. The employment team regularly act for employers across the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Given the multi-service nature of the firm, working closely with accountants and tax advisors, Oury Clark are able to advise on nuanced matters such as cross-border employment, where employees continue to work remotely and the legal and tax implications of the same. The team frequently draft secondment agreements which, when coupled with sponsor licences, can be a tax efficient method for companies bringing staff to the UK.

As the client base is so diverse, the HR and advisory work carried out by the team is varied and includes bespoke employment contracts, policies and handbooks such as unlimited annual leave policies, fully remote contracts, and family friendly initiatives.

The team work closely with other departments, including the immigration, benefits and tax teams, to be able to provide a unique full professional service.
