Career
Jessica is a partner of eight years’ post-qualification experience. Jessica joined Oury Clark in January 2023 as a partner in the employment team.
Her experience in civil litigation enables her to act in complex multifaceted matters, such as acting for both companies and individuals in relation to breach of restrictive covenant actions, including injunctive proceedings in the High Court. Jessica frequently advises on the drafting and enforceability of restrictive covenants, both contained in employment contracts and as standalone agreements.
Previously, she was a partner at Curzon Green Solicitors, having joined in July 2014 and completed her training contract with the firm. Jessica qualified in August 2016, and was rapidly promoted to the status of associate solicitor in June 2017, to junior partner in November 2019 and partner in February 2021.
Memberships
Jessica is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) and has sat on its working parties. Most recently, Jessica was involved in the ELA working party on Artificial Intelligence in the workplace, on the role of lay members in the Employment Tribunal and EAT, on flexible working and on the government’s proposals to review non-competes: ELA response to Senior President of Tribunals’ Consultation on Panel Composition in the Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal | Employment Lawyers Association (UK) (elaweb.org.uk). Personal
Jessica is passionate about social mobility and acts as a mentor through the Social Mobility Foundation.
Jessica has presented multiple webinars and training sessions on various aspects of employment law and also on expansion to the UK for foreign entities, including for Start Up Canada, to Croatian construction companies in association with the British Embassy in Zagreb, and as part of Ugandan and Australian trade missions in connection with London and Partners.
