Ross is Head of the Employment, HR and Business Immigration Teams at Oury Clark.
His experience includes:
Employment Law. Advising international clients on setting up in the UK, including drafting Service Agreements, Contracts of Employment, and Staff Handbooks. Advising Employers in Private (small, medium, and large) and Public Sectors on various employment matters ranging from general advice on non-contentious issues to contentious issues including Discrimination, the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE), Redundancies (both individual and collective), Bullying and Harassment, Data Protection, Termination of Employment, and Unfair Dismissal. Reviewing and Drafting employment documentation on behalf of employers. Advising companies on employment aspects of Corporate Transactions. Acting on behalf of high net worth or senior employees in relation to employment issues in the workplace. Representing employers and employees in Employment Tribunal Proceedings.For Business Immigration, Ross has deep experience in:
Advising international clients who wish to set up their businesses in the UK. Advising employers on general Business Immigration Law issues. Advising high net worth or senior individuals on Visa options. Drafting Business Immigration documentation on behalf of clients.Ross prides himself on his extensive legal expertise, deep strategic thinking, and his very client centric approach to his work, relying on his empathy and clear communication to understand the position of his clients and explain their rights and responsibilities to them. This approach was required when working on a corporate client matter where there was fraudulently claimed expenses and complaints of sexual harassment against the client’s Managing Director (MD). The outcome of the matter led to the MD’s termination of employment on the ground of gross misconduct. Ross also had to work with the client to ensure its UK staff impacted by the MD’s actions were fully supported as well as advising the client on how to resolve and improve industrial relations going forward.
