Position
Alysha Preston is an associate in the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Alysha counsels domestic and multinational companies in navigating complex issues involving intellectual property and technology transactions, including complex license and collaboration agreements, joint ventures, spin outs, commercial contracts, and mergers and acquisitions. Alysha has been recognized by Super Lawyers and selected to the 2020-2023 New York Metro Rising Star lists for Intellectual Property.
Career
Alysha takes a pragmatic approach in advising clients in transactions involving the acquisition, development (including joint development), commercialization, protection, licensing, sharing, exploitation and sale of intellectual property and technology assets. She represents clients on structuring, drafting and negotiating complex license agreements, R&D agreements, collaboration agreements, supply, manufacturing and distribution agreements, and other agreements involving intellectual property and technology and commercial arrangements.
Alysha also advises on various IP issues in the context of corporate transactions (such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, spin outs and corporate restructurings), as well as IP infringement matters and overall global brand and portfolio management and enforcement. She also guides clients on compliance with federal and state regulations governing gift cards, store credit, refunds, and contests and sweepstakes.
Her clients include both domestic and global companies in the personal care, food and beverage, telecommunications, media and entertainment, fashion and luxury goods, retail, financial services, health, wellness and fitness, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, consumer goods, publishing (including digital), oil, gas and energy, and computer hardware and software industries.
