Lamyaa Gadelhak is a Partner at Helmy, Hamza & Partners, Baker McKenzie Cairo, where she co-heads the Banking & Projects Practice Group.

Career

Lamyaa has 20 years of experience working on the entire spectrum of banking and finance and developing critical projects in energy, mining, infrastructure, environmental markets, and climate change. Lamyaa advises on project development and financing, as well as on regulatory and corporate matters and various of these transactions were award winning.  Lamyaa’s exceptional accomplishments have garnered her widespread acclaim and accolades in the legal industry such as “Market Leader”, “Leading Individual” and placement in” Band 1” by publications such as IFLR, Legal 500 and Chambers Global. Additionally, to her being shortlisted for this year’s IFLR Middle East Awards in the esteemed category of Women Dealmaker Hall of Fame and Lexis Nexis Women in Law Award for Banking and Finance.

Lamyaa currently serves as a member of the Firm's Global Project Finance Steering Committee and Africa Steering Committee. She was also admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association in 2005.

Education

Lamyaa received her bachelor's degree in 2014 from Cairo University's Faculty of Law. She then completed her Master's in Business Law in 2005 and her Master's in International and European Business Law in 2007, both at the Universite Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
