Caroline Swett is a partner and member of the firm’s Financial Institutions Banking, Special Situations and ESG Groups. She advises domestic and foreign banks and other financial institutions on a wide range of regulatory, enforcement and transactional matters.

Ms. Swett has particular experience advising financial institutions on complex Regulation W issues, governance mechanisms and practices, supervisory examinations and downgrades, regulatory permissibility, charter formations and Fintech acquisitions.

Education

Ms. Swett joined Debevoise in 2012. She received a J.D. from Yale Law School in 2012 and a B.A. from Brown University in 2006. From 2006 to 2009, Ms. Swett worked at Gerson Lehrman Group in business strategy as well as energy and geopolitical risk research services in the company’s New York City and New Delhi offices.
