Career
Héctor is a partner at Deloitte Legal, where he provides consulting services and advice to domestic and multinational clients on regulatory matters; he has advised clients and participated in deals from such industries as banking, electric energy, telecommunications, mining, oil & gas, federal transportation and railways, aviation, construction and pharmaceuticals. He also has substantial experience in project finance deals; in this respect, he has advised some of the leading businesses (acting both on behalf of creditors and on behalf of sponsors), including Tarafert as the developer of the first urea plant project in Mexico and the Government of the State of Guanajuato in the development of the local Energy State Plan.
Héctor has also co-authored significant publications such as the 2013 and 2014 Mexico chapter from ‘Anti-Corruption Regulation’ in Getting the Deal Through, the 2019 ‘Securitisation: Mexico’ chapter for the Chambers ‘Private Wealth: Global Practice Guide’, and the 2019 ‘FINTECH Questions (MEXICO)’ chapter, for ‘The Legal 500 Country Comparative Guide’ and the Mexican chapter of the first edition of this very ‘Global Legal Insights, – Fintech’ (2019).
Prior to joining Deloitte, Hector worked as an associate in Rico Robles Libenson, S.C. (formerly Rico, Robles, Libenson y Bernal, S.C.) and Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
