In Guatemala, notably, the office’s managing partner and firm co-managing partner Juan Carlos Castillo, served as president of the board of the largest exchange in Guatemala for eight years, giving the team standout strength in securities mandates. We also have the leading practice in the energy sector – particularly electricity related matters – owing to extensive industry experience and a profound market knowledge.

Our business model has proven itself flexible, allowing us to make a number of important moves over the past year, including strengthening our offering across the region with new partner hires as well as entering the Paraguay market in June 2020.

This growth during the challenging times brought by the global pandemic reflects the strength in our model and direction as a business. We are no longer a Central American law firm, only, but are the first, home-grown Latin American firm – with offices in Ecuador as well as Paraguay.
