Regina Legorreta Palomino focuses her practice on energy and infrastructure matters, specializing in structuring all types of energy and natural resources infrastructure projects in Mexico and assisting transnational companies in the energy (conventional and renewable), gas, pipeline, transmission, and water sectors. She has extensive experience regarding the energy reform; power auctions; and the drafting, negotiation, and administration of PPA (under Power Supply and Self-Supply schemes), EPC, O&M, and OPF agreements. Additionally, her experience includes project financing and due diligence for energy and infrastructure projects, including those grandfathered from previous legislations and matters related to corporate, agrarian, tax, regulatory, and contractual law. Regina has also been involved in real estate and corporate matters, including transactions regarding the incorporation of companies with foreign investment, special purpose entities, and the representation of foreign corporations in Mexico; transformation and dissolution of corporations; and drafting and negotiation of a variety of commercial agreements, ranging from the structuring of trusts and other financing schemes to stakeholder relationships.
