Areas of practice: The Morgan Lewis Tokyo office serves as primary international counsel for a number of leading Japanese companies and asset managers, and as primary counsel in Japan for many of our global clients with operations in Asia. Our team in Tokyo includes both US lawyers covering a broad range of practices and Japanese lawyers with experience in the financial services and related corporate and employment areas working in our Tokyo office through a foreign law joint enterprise structure.
We represent clients across Asia in complex cross-border transactions, asset management regulation, and disputes. Areas of particular focus in Tokyo include asset management, private equity, corporate and project finance, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring transactions, and licensing and other technology matters. We also advise on compliance issues and internal investigations, and provide a full range of e-Data and other litigation support services.
