Types of work undertaken: The London office regularly advises UK and European corporations and law firms on the Canadian aspects of M&A and finance transactions, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations, and in relation to Canadian litigation and commercial matters. The office also has extensive experience in the development and construction of major natural resources and infrastructure projects. The London office has an active international capital markets practice, advising on debt and equity offerings into Canada, including public and private placements and rights offerings. Re-domiciles, IPOs and cross-listings on Canadian stock exchanges are other areas of expertise. Recent transactions have included work in the mining, oil and gas, renewables, technology, fintech and industrial sectors. The office does not practise English or other non-Canadian law and works closely with leading firms in the UK, Europe, Africa and Australasia.
