Position

Suzanne is a partner of Maples and Calder's Corporate and Latin American teams in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office.  She has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate work, including joint ventures, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and also advises on a wide variety of structured finance, capital markets and investment fund transactions.  Suzanne maintains a strong focus on public company work, advising clients through all stages of their growth from start-up to IPO and beyond.

Through her Latin American practice, Suzanne advises clients both originating from and investing into the region. She has also advised telecommunications clients and hardware companies on Cayman Islands licencing and regulatory issues.

Career

Suzanne joined the Maples Group in 2006 and was elected as a partner in 2013.  She previously worked for Mallesons, Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) and before that, for Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills), in Australia.  Suzanne has been featured in Latin Lawyer 250 for her work on Latin American transactions, was recognised by Latinvex as one of Latin America's Top 100 Female Lawyers, and has been recommended in Legal 500.
