Adam Huckle
Adam Huckle
Adam is a partner of Maples and Calder's Financial Services Regulation and Dispute Resolution & Insolvency teams in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office.  Adam regularly represents retail and investment banks, trustees, investment funds and other financial institutions.  He has a broad range of litigation experience, with an emphasis on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters involving banking, finance, investment funds, company law and trusts disputes.  Adam's regulatory practice has a particular focus on economic sanctions, but also includes advising on cross border conduct of business, duties of confidentiality, anti-corruption and bribery, licensing, record retention and mandatory reporting and information exchange.  He regularly appears in the Grand Court and Court of Appeal of the Cayman Islands.

Amanda is a partner of Maples and Calder's Finance team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office.  Amanda has significant experience advising clients on structured finance transactions, particularly CLOs, securitizations, repackagings, credit funds and other CLO investment structures; as well as on fund finance and banking transactions, in which she represents hedge funds, private equity funds and banks on lending transactions, bank products, deal structures and on all types of secured transactions. Amanda also has extensive experience in obtaining listings for clients on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.

Anthony is a partner of Maples and Calder's Finance team in the Maples and Calder's Cayman Islands office.  Anthony has an extensive and broad range of experience in debt capital markets, corporate financing and asset financing.  He regularly advises hedge funds, private equity funds and banks on capital commitment fund financing as well as borrowers and lenders on aircraft financing.  He also advises on CLO and structured product transactions and secured and unsecured banking transactions, in addition to regulatory, general corporate and commercial matters and all types of listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.

Caroline is a co-head of Maples and Calder's global Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team and is based in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office. Caroline advises on all aspects of cross border and domestic insolvency and restructuring issues, in particular contentious and non-contentious restructurings, liquidations, schemes of arrangement and fund wind downs. She advises debtors and key stakeholders in financially distressed circumstances, including banks, funds, bondholders, directors, investors and insolvency practitioners. Caroline also has extensive commercial litigation experience in financial services disputes including appraisal rights/fair value cases and shareholder, board and investment funds disputes. She is an experienced advocate, who regularly appears in the Cayman Islands courts.

Christopher is head of the Maples and Calder Regulatory & Financial Services team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office.  He advises on all aspects of Cayman Islands investment funds with his practice focusing on regulatory matters impacting family offices and a wide variety of open and closed-ended investment vehicles including partnerships, unit trusts, LLCs and companies.  Christopher has extensive knowledge of FATCA, the OECD Common Reporting Standard, the Securities Investment Business Law, DAC6/MDR, Economic Substance and the OECD Country-by-Country Reporting regime.

Gwyneth is a partner of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office.  She works extensively with hedge fund managers and private equity sponsors and their onshore counsel on all aspects of the establishment, maintenance and restructuring of offshore investment funds.  She represents large global financial institutions and asset managers, as well as boutique and emerging managers.  Gwyneth has over 25 years' experience advising on the formation and structuring of hedge, hybrid, credit and activist funds, private equity funds and investment fund platforms.

James is is head of the Cayman Islands’ Structured Finance practice.  He advises on structured finance transactions (in particular CLO transactions, related risk retention structures and catastrophe bonds), fund financing matters (acting for both lenders and borrowers) and general banking and financing work. James also has experience advising on asset finance transactions (particularly off-balance sheet commercial aircraft financing and leasing) and general corporate and commercial transactions, along with restructurings and securities listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.

Jonathon is co-head of the Asset Finance practice in the Cayman Islands and has extensive experience of international capital markets and corporate finance transactions.  He advises on all types of aircraft finance structures, with a particular focus on aircraft portfolio securitisations, large leasing platform establishments (including partnerships with fund sponsor investors), and on- and off-balance sheet commercial aircraft finance and leasing. In addition, Jonathon regularly acts on fund finance transactions (for both lenders and borrowers, including capital commitment subscription financing), as well as structured finance matters including CLOs and debt funds. Jonathon also advises on a wide range of general corporate and commercial deals, including restructurings, joint ventures and M&A transactions, and debt and equity listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.

Through her Latin American practice, Suzanne advises clients both originating from and investing into the region. Tina is head of Maples and Calder's Finance team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office.  She leads the Fund Finance practice and also has extensive experience in all aspects of banking, derivatives and securitisations.  Tina represents hedge funds, private equity funds and banks on fund finance and other lending transactions, bank products, deal structures and on all types of secured transactions.  She advises a large number of international associations and financial institutions on derivatives and issues surrounding related collateral packages in the context of insolvency in the Cayman Islands.  She also has significant experience of general corporate and commercial matters and the establishment of offshore investment funds.

Wanda is a partner of Maples and Calder's Finance team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office.  She specialises in repackagings and structured finance transactions. Her area of practice also includes general corporate and commercial matters, with particular emphasis on local licencing and registration.  Wanda also has experience in ship and aircraft finance and registration, licensing and equity formation, as well as local immigration, employment, trade and business and special economic zone registrations.  She has experience working with export credit agencies in Europe and Latin America, and with airlines globally in the set-up and operation of Cayman Islands special purpose vehicles to participate in the acquisition, finance and leasing of aircraft.
