  Andy is a Senior Counsel at the firm, he has considerable experience in contentious and non contentious work, including both corporate and personal litigation, defamation, matrimonial (both financial and children), art trade matters, lottery fund applications, wrongful dismissal claims, employment contracts, commercial acquisitions and disposals, and trust disputes and reorganisations. Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Andy was co-founder and senior partner of Kerman & Co. in London, which he founded with Daniel O’Connell in 1998.  He has had an extremely wide ranging career in the law advising heads of state, entrepreneurs and people from all walks of life in the UK and abroad.

Coral is an Associate Solicitor in the Corporate and Capital Markets team.  She advises clients in relation to initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and joint ventures.  Prior to joining the firm Coral practised at Herbert Smith in London, Hong Kong and Bejing and Paul Hastings in Beijing where she worked on various cross-border transactions involving Chinese companies in the mainland China and Hong Kong market.

Emma is an Associate Solicitor in the Sports and Commercial Litigation Departments.  She has a wealth of experience in both contentious and non-contentious sports matters. Emma advises clients including The All England Lawn Tennis Club (Wimbledon), the RFU and the WRU on the enforcement of their ticket terms and conditions and assists these clients in obtaining interim injunctions.  Her experience includes assisting on domestic and international disputes in a variety of sports including football, athletics, rugby, MMA and motor sport.  She has extensive experience of proceedings brought before the High Court and has also acted on disputes brought in arbitral forums including the Court of Arbitration for Sport and the European Court of Arbitration.

Fraser Mitchell is a partner in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. He has experience acting in a range of complex cross-border and multijurisdictional disputes for a variety of clients including individuals, trusts, companies and funds as both claimant and defendant. Fraser is often instructed in cases where fraud, bribery, conspiracy or breach of fiduciary duty are alleged. He regularly acts in insolvency litigation and shareholders’ disputes and has extensive experience in obtaining and resisting interim applications, often at short notice. He also has prior experience handling investigations on behalf of companies, individuals and state entities. He has advocacy experience and has appeared many times as both as sole counsel and as junior up to the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal. Fraser is a named individual in the Legal 500 - Caribbean, where he is described as “definitely a rising star” and a “real pleasure to work with” who is “always ready to help” and “full of good humour.”

Partner in the Sports and Commercial Litigation departments.  James acts for sporting bodies as well as sports men and women, he has extensive experience in resolving contractual disputes in a variety of sports including motorsport, football, athletics, cricket and rugby union. James also has particular experience in advising on regulatory and disciplinary issues.  He has acted for clients in proceedings involving the Football Association, the British Horseracing Authority, the Motor Sports Association and the Football League.  James acts for event organisers and governing bodies in enforcing ticket terms and conditions to major sporting events.  This involves advising clients on the process of obtaining interim injunctions against third parties selling ticket only and or hospitality packages to well-known sporting events taking place in England and Wales without authority to do so, and acting for clients in the ensuing court proceedings. In addition, James has a substantial IP practice within which he advises and acts for companies and individuals in protecting their intellectual property, including advising on claims relating to copyright and trade mark infringement as well as in relation to pass off.  He is a keen advocate of Alternative Dispute Resolution and in particular, mediation, having settled a number of matters through the ADR processes.  James is a member of the British Association of Sports Law and has delivered lectures on topics including reputation management and basic contractual rights.  James has also written extensively on legal issues in sport.

Robert is Partner and Head of UK Commercial Litigation, he is an experienced commercial litigation/dispute resolution lawyer and advises on a wide range of contentious matters, including in the pharmaceutical/life sciences, manufacturing, natural resources and property sectors. He deals with contractual, company and shareholder disputes as well as regulatory issues (for example matters concerning the UK’s Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Schemes and advertising). Robert acts for clients from the UK and overseas and much of his work has a multi-jurisdictional aspect.

He specialises in drafting commercial contracts including sponsorship, joint venture, merchandising, telecommunications, new media, agency, distribution and image rights agreements, venue agreements and IP and software licences. He has negotiated numerous lucrative sponsorship and supplier agreements on behalf of sporting governing bodies including the PGA European Tour, Ryder Cup, World Marathon Majors, London Marathon, RideLondon and the All England Lawn Tennis Club (Wimbledon). He is a regular contributor to sports publications and author of many articles in the sports sector.
