Career
She represents clients and serves as an arbitrator in disputes involving a variety of industries, including construction, automotive, hospitality, financial services, and information technology and communications, under the rules of ICC, LCIA, ICDR, CAM and CANACO. She is ranked in various notable legal directories such as LACCA Approved and WWL Mexico Arbitration. The latter describes her as: “a leading lawyer in ADR, excelling in assisting clients in national and international mediation and arbitration” Ms. Gómez´s extensive experience in administering arbitration proceedings, including her role as Secretary-General and Counsel of the Center for Arbitration of Mexico for over a decade, and her participation as a member of the Mediation and Arbitration Commission of the National Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City, has provided her with a deep understanding of the nuances and complexities of arbitration procedures, enabling her to anticipate potential obstacles and develop proactive strategies to achieve successful resolutions for her clients.
Ms. Gómez actively engage with other areas of the firm in the prevention and early resolution of disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions, corporate disputes, disputes related to international sale of goods, among others.
Ms. Gómez is a member of the Private Commercial Disputes Advisory Committee of the USMCA and is included in the list of conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes for the period 2018-2024. She has also been included in the list of arbitrators of arbitration institutions such as ICDR and WIPO.
In the academic field, Ms. Gómez has been a professor of MASC (Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods) at the Universidad Panamericana for over 13 years, co-author of various publications on arbitration including the book titled “Mexican Law of Arbitration in Commercial Matters” and is frequently invited as a speaker.
Ms. Gómez is currently a delegate for Mexico in the American Initiative of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration, a member of the Arbitrator Proposals Committee and the Latin American Arbitration Group of the ICC, a Council member of the LCIA, a member of the Mexican Arbitration Institute, and Coordinator of the ADR Committee of the National Association of Business Lawyers (ANADE).

Ms. Gómez is a graduate of the Universidad Panamericana, a Fellow Arbitrator of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and has specialized studies in commercial arbitration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy, in investment arbitration from the American University Washington College of Law, in information technology and communications from the Mexican Academy of Information Law, and is certified as a privacy professional by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP/E).
