Gerardo Valencia is partner of the Labor practice area in Cuesta Campos. He has focused his practice in labor law, and has a broad experience on labor legal advice and litigation from a corporate perspective.

Gerardo Valencia joined Cuesta Campos in 2014. With over 15 years of experience in labor law and social security, he has focused his practice in advising and counseling important multinational and local companies from different industries, from the key strategic aspects to the fulfillment of regulations, including: incorporation of companies in Mexico and foreign subsidiaries, collective negotiations, implementation of internal processes for regulating employee’s relations, merger and acquisitions assessments, review of schemes for contracting with outsourcing and its application according to labor and tax rules, negotiation with suppliers to verify and require compliance with obligations, Social Security counseling, including actions for nullitybefore Federal Court of Justice for Tax matters, analysis and implementation of employer substitution processes, training for high-level officials in the administration of their personnel, as well as the solution of disputes through outside trial agreements,such asindividual and collective litigation beforeLabor boards and courtsthroughout the country.

His labor experience includes litigation, design and implementation of preventive strategies for various companies, negotiation of union contracts, transfer of employees and strike negotiations, among others.
