Mr. Hurtado has been counsel to multiple domestic and foreign clients in regulatory and antitrust issues and trade disputes, mainly arising from customs regulation and international trade treaties. He has participated in more than 40 anti-dumping and anti-subsidy and antitrust investigations and is part of Mexico's list of panelists for NAFTA arbitrations. He has participated as a panelist in 3 Chapter 19 panels and as a party representative in 4 panels of such chapter. Nowadays, Mr. Hurtado is part of the Mexico´s list of panelists for T-MEC, participating in the chapters on labor dispute mechanisms, commercial remedies (Chap. 10), and dispute resolution in general (Chap. 31).

Mr. Hurtado is a member of the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados), the American Bar Association, the National Association of Corporate Counsels (Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa), the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, A.C. and Chairman of its Trade Policy Committee, the Association of International Trade Consultants (Asociación de Consultores en Prácticas Comerciales Internacionales), Vice President of the Policy Committee on Trade and Investment and member of the Board of the Mexican Chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce and Appleseed México, A.C.
