Shanae Durman is a senior associate in Bowmans’ Johannesburg office Shipping, Aviation and Logistics Practice. She specialises in aviation law with a focus on insurance and dispute resolution. She has experience advising local and international aviation insurers and reinsurers on coverage, third-party claims and subrogated recoveries.  She regularly advises airport operators, aviation clients and their liability and hull insurers concerning disputes involving aircraft, property damage and personal injury.  Her experience extends to advising on aviation regulatory compliance. She has LLB (cum laude) and LLM (International Air, Space and Telecommunications Law) (cum laude) degrees from the University of Pretoria.
