Senior Associate

Onalerona Phiri is a senior associate in Bowmans’ Johannesburg office Project Finance Practice. He has experience advising both financiers and borrowers regarding the funding and development of renewable energy projects ranging from standard loan agreement transactions to syndicated financing and project debt refinancing. His role involves drafting funding agreements and reviewing project agreements, managing transaction deliverables. and providing ad hoc project finance legal advice. Onalerona has a working understanding of the South African environmental legislative framework having assisted clients with legal due diligence reviews, administrative appeals and general advisory services regarding regulatory compliance. He is an LLB (cum laude) from North-West University.
