Javier specializes in financing transactions, including project finance, cross-border real estate and asset-based lending, restructuring and insolvency. He also regularly works on energy and infrastructure projects. Javier heads NHG’s aviation practice, mainly representing financial institutions. Javier's practice in projects, energy and infrastructure incudes advise to government agencies, banks, funds and developers across different sectors. Javier has also participated in some of the largest restructurings in Mexico.

Javier received his LLM (with honours) from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a Certificate in Management from the Kellogg School of Management. He graduated from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), attorney at law magna cum laude and has a Diploma in Commercial Law summa cum laude from Universidad Panamericana. Javier also worked for a year at Mayer Brown LLP in New York.

Javier actively participates as a speaker in national and international forums and he is the author of several articles in his fields.
