Position

Ana María is a partner at the firm and serves as the Director of the Labor and Employment Advice and Counsel Area. She combines her expertise with a deep understanding of her client's businesses, aligning her strategies with their goals and addressing their obstacles effectively. Ana María has built her career at the firm since 2009, starting as an intern and rising to become one of the leaders of the Corporate Counselling team. With a strong technical foundation and a client-focused approach, she has developed a strategic vision that effectively addresses her client’s needs, providing robust and timely solutions that build value, trust, and harmony in handling significant labor issues for companies. In her current role, Ana María is responsible for overseeing the legal administration and crafting strategic legal guidance for the firm's client counselling. Her practice encompasses substantial areas of law, with a special emphasis on Labor Law (both Individual and Collective Employment Law), Social Security, and Tax Law. She has extensive experience in corporate labor consultancy, including the preparation and response to claims, guardianships, and petition rights, as well as tax advice and counselling. 

Career

She obtained her Juris Doctor Degree at the Pontifical Javeriana University and a specialization in Tax Law at the same University. She obtained a master’s degree in Labour Law and Social Security from the Rey Juan Carlos University in alliance with the European Institute of Business Studies (INESEM Business School) in Spain. Graduated with Magna CVM Lavde and Order of Academic Merit from the Master’s Degree in Labor Law and Social Security from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
