The firm: The founding partner, Eduardo Munhoz, has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer. In addition, he is also a professor of the Law School of the University of Sao Paulo, the most prestigious school of law in Brazil, and has published numerous books and articles in the fields of corporate law and judicial restructuring.

In 2015, Eduardo Munhoz founded E.Munhoz Advogados, backed by a talented high-performance team of lawyers aiming to focus on strategic cases and provide tailor-made advice for its clients. Since then, the firm has been able to build an impressive track record for bankruptcy and corporate disputes.

Areas of practice
Litigation and arbitration: representation of clients in disputes derived from shareholding or corporate structures, as well as from complex business transactions. The team is prepared to advise domestic and foreign clients throughout the entire dispute, from the early stages until the enforcement of final awards by courts and arbitration tribunals.

Bankruptcy and restructuring: legal advice to creditors, debtors and investors in complex and large-scale restructuring cases in and out of court. The firm has assisted domestic and foreign clients in strategic decisions in all matters related to restructurings or bankruptcies, including the negotiation and drafting of restructuring plans, the negotiation of debt financing and collaterals, the structuring and implementation of corporate transactions and the representation in court measures.

Corporate and M&A: legal advice and expert opinions in highly sophisticated corporate matters. Members of the E.Munhoz Advogados team have previously worked in the Comissao de Valores Mobiliarios (the regulator of the Brazilian capital markets) and have gathered a remarkable knowledge of Brazilian corporate practice and law.
