Types of work undertaken
Corporate: offering the full range of corporate finance work, including mainstream mergers and acquisitions, acting for banks and other financial institutions in the provision of acquisition finance facilities, advising international clients and entrepreneurs on expansion and start-up structures.

Commercial and IT: working with a diverse range of clients throughout the UK and internationally, the firm partners clients on complex deals in relation to commercial and IT contracts; information law; business models; trading and
e-commerce advice; outsourcing; and competition.

Data and information law: failing to comply with GDPR is one of the most serious risks a business can face. We ensure businesses have the necessary processes, procedures and documents in place to be compliant. We
advise on the initial stage of conducting a data mapping exercise. We analyse the results of a data audit on a risk assessment basis and determine the extent of GDPR compliance.

Intellectual property: acknowledged local and international experts, the firm assists with the identification, protection, exploitation and enforcement of rights in patents, designs, trade marks, copyright, databases, confidential information and related rights.

Court of protection and PI Trusts:  it manages complex applications to the Court of Protection, including those for deputyship, statutory wills and a wide range of other applications relating to adults who lack mental capacity. It acts as professional deputy for many adults, where nobody else is suitable or if particular expertise is required.

Employment: a specialist employment law team ensuring clients are aware of all the options relating to the relevant regulations; adopting HR strategies, procedures and terms that develop staff, as well as reducing risk.
