“You might think this review is fake because of how positive it is but I can assure you it’s not and it’s as genuine as it gets ! I’m only so passionate about this because I understand how it feels as a dad to be alienated from your child when you’ve done nothing wrong and you hit rock bottom so I’d like anyone seeing this that’s in a similar position to really listen.
I was panicking because I had just gotten rid of my old solicitor a week before my first court date in regards to contact with my son and Alexandra reached out to me after an enquiry.
I cannot stress that Alexandra had a week or so to get everything done that my previous solicitor at Harold G Walker had done poorly. Alexandra provided everything to a high quality along with providing me with what I believe the most important thing, honesty.

I recently engaged Hannah Costley after being asked to attend a voluntary police interview. Having never been in trouble of any kind before I was incredibly distressed, Hannah recognised this and was proactive in immediately making contact with the police and taking as much of the stress away as she could. “Efficient and Empathetic Service
I needed assistance to transfer my parents house into my name having lost them over the space of 14 months. Obviously the double loss and being an only child meant that this was a challenging process on top of the numerous things I had needed to sort prior to the house transfer and I was truly worn out!
After my initial enquiry, Helen promptly contacted me to arrange going about this and directed me to arrange getting probate, inheritance tax assessment etc. However, I became pregnant during the process and was unwell for the first half of my pregnancy. For this reason, the process was delayed by many months due to me feeling overwhelmed both physically and emotionally.
Helen kept in contact but not in a way that was pushy, with one or two polite emails or phone calls to ensure I still wanted to keep my case open.
When I was finally able to go through the process later in my pregnancy and had gained the relevant information regarding inheritance tax and probate, she arranged an efficient process where the house name was transferred with minimal hassle.
When I went to the office Helen was very friendly and had a very caring and professional nature. This was also evident in all prior communication with her. I felt reassured and supported by her throughout, which made a big difference considering the emotional impact of going through the process, due to the mix of grief over my parents and the worry and normal emotions women feel during pregnancy.
I had had some communication with other staff at times when I just needed to make quick enquiries about the laborious probate and inheritance tax process if Helen wasn’t available. All staff I spoke to were honest, polite and professional.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use the firm again and I would highly recommend Helen and the firm to others.”
