Career

Suzanne advises on all aspects of private client work including advising on inheritance tax and capital gains tax, on the preparation of Wills and the creation and administration of trusts.

She also advises on Declarations of Trust where properties are co-owned and on powers of attorney (both Lasting Powers of Attorney and ‘old style’ Enduring Powers of Attorney).

Suzanne qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and became STEP qualified (a Trust and Estate Practitioner) in 2013. As part of her degree she spent a year studying at the Institut d'études politiques, in Aix en Provence. Suzanne started off her career at an Ipswich firm before moving to Cambridge and finally arriving at Ashtons in December 2016.

Suzanne offers a sympathetic and patient ear to her clients, and is able to see their personal circumstances in the round. As well as being approachable, she has the technical knowledge to ensure their affairs are dealt with effectively and in line with their wishes.

Outside of work, Suzanne enjoys gardening, cooking, and doing outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking and skiing.
