Career

Jennifer is a Senior Associate in our Lifetime Planning team.

Jennifer has experience in all aspects of Private Client work, including:

Wills, with particular expertise in care home fee planning, succession planning, assessment of mental capacity, and the handling of sensitive subjects including the exclusion of children and how best to help avoid a claim against an estate. Inheritance Tax advice Lasting Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Attorney Probate Trusts Court of Protection, such as Deputyship applications.

Jennifer qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2018 before cross-qualifying as a Solicitor in 2019. Jennifer has over six years experience in Private Client Law, is a full member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers, a fully qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a Dementia Friend.

Before joining Ashtons Legal, Jennifer worked in three other law firms, all of which were in Private Client. She has also gained valuable experience volunteering at the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Jennifer enjoys meeting new people and prides herself on being compassionate whilst providing clear and pragmatic advice.

In Jennifer’s spare time, she enjoys music, photography, and spending time with her five dogs!
