Vassiliy Zenov is a Partner in Dentons’ Almaty office.  He focuses on banking and finance, capital markets, financial regulations and derivatives. His strong legal background is supplemented by his knowledge of public, economic and business administration issues. Vassiliy is an author of the draft Law on Close-Out Netting in Kazakhstan, which is expected to be adopted in mid-2021. Vassiliy also leads the Dentons’ team in an ongoing project which aims to set up an effective legal framework for resolution and sale of non-performing loans in Kazakhstan. Besides, Vassiliy has drafted Article 74-1, which was successfully introduced into the Kazakhstan Law on the Use of Airspace, and now envisages the legal restrictions applicable to foreign parties that own or otherwise control Kazakh airlines. Prior to joining Dentons, Vassiliy worked as a Legal Director for RBS Kazakhstan.
