Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra
Shirin, Barrister-at-Law, has had a long political career as well as a diplomatic career. She founded several non-governmental organisations in Mauritius and abroad and has been a member of several Human Rights organisations. Shirin was the first woman Attorney-General and Minister for Women's Rights and Family Welfare in Mauritius and the ambassador of Mauritius in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. In 1993 – 1994, she presided the Conseil Permanent de la Francophonie. She represented Mauritius at the UNESCO in 1995. She was a member of the National Assembly and also a municipal councilor and mayor of the town of Beau Bassin-Rose Hill. She was the first Ombudsperson for Children in 2003 to 2011, and was also appointed as Chairperson of the Public Bodies Appeal Tribunal in 2012 until October 2021. In 2004, Shirin was a member of the Editorial Board of the United Nations Secretary-General's Study on Violence against Children, working in close collaboration with Professor Paulo Sergio Pinheiro, the international expert appointed to coordinate the Study which led to the publication of a World Report on Violence against Children (2006). She still collaborates with the UN Special Representative on this issue. Shirin has contributed to many publications for UN committees.

Devalingum Gopalla is a Partner at Dentons and member of the global Banking & Finance practice. Dev’s focus is on banking, finance, capital markets, private equity, mergers and acquisitions. He has experience acting as lead counsel in Mauritius on several project finance transactions with an ESG focus element and also is a trusted advisor to leading European banks on matters relating to listing on the Mauritius stock exchange. Dev has also advised US financial institutions on cross border bond issuance and also collaborated on a number of structured finance projects for the African and Asia markets. He has intervened as a speaker for the Euromoney Conferences in New York and Nairobi on African Lending and Private Equity. Dev has served as the Mauritius Chapter and is a member of the international executive committee for the New York State Bar Association. Prior to joining Dentons, he worked as legal director for a leading African Development Financial Institution and also has been in private practice for a magic circle law firm.

Priscilla is a Senior Partner in the Dentons Mauritius office. She specialises in corporate, finance and tax law She also regularly advises or acts on behalf of commercial and investment banks, private equity and venture capital firms. Over the years, she has been involved in a number of M&As and IPOs, many of them involving companies in the global business sector or foreign companies investing in Mauritius. Priscilla has a keen interest for Fintech matters and keeps herself abreast of all developments in that field. She has practised at the Mauritian Bar since 1999 and has appeared before all the courts of Mauritius, as well as before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in the United Kingdom.  She has also sat for numerous years as a member of the Public Bodies Appeal Tribunal, a Tribunal set up to hear appeals on appointment decisions made by the Public Service Commission and Local Government Service Commission in Mauritius.

Ritesh is a Counsel in Dentons. He is a member of white collar and government investigations, employment and labor, litigation and dispute resolution groups.   Ritesh`s main area of practice is white collar crimes and assisting client investigations. He is also a criminal lawyer with much experience in criminal litigation and investigations.   He has also been legal adviser of several local companies, such as Stag Beverages Limited and Universal Breweries Limited. He has represented those companies before the Industrial Courts in litigations with employees and dealt with dispute resolution between sub-contractors.

Rubesh Doomun is a Barrister at Law at the Dentons Mauritius office and is also a Registered Insolvency Practitioner. He is a member of litigation team. Rubesh specializes in regulations and laws related to insolvency and corporate finance. He also has a keen interest for litigation and dispute resolution. He has practised at the Mauritian Bar since 2016 and has appeared before all courts in Mauritius. Rubesh holds a Master of Laws in Advanced Legal Practice and is part of the Alumni of different universities, having graduated with both a degree in law and a degree in Finance. He is presently the On-Demand Barrister for Centurion Law group, a Pan-African corporate law conglomerate. His practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution, insolvency, advising and representing his clients before various courts and tribunals in Mauritius. Rubesh regularly gives trainings and lectures at the MCCI Business School, the University of Mauritius and the Honoris Educational Network.

Vijay is a Partner at Dentons Mauritius. He has over 30 years’ experience in international law, good governance, public affairs, aviation, the tourism sector and international relations. He is recognized for his commitment to and advocacy for integrity, transparency, equity, inclusivity and sustainability. He also has an incredible global network. Vijay was called to the Bar in London (Middle Temple) and in Mauritius after obtaining his BA (Hons) in Law from the University of Nottingham, his LL.M (International Law) from the London School of Economics & Political Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Air and Space Law from the London Institute of World Affairs. He also has a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand. He was the Director of Legal and International Affairs of Air Mauritius, the Managing Director of Air Mauritius, the Executive Chairman of Airports of Mauritius, the Chief Operating Officer of the Commonwealth Association for Corporate Governance and the Vice-President International and Public Affairs of Etihad Airways. He was elected chair of the historical 4th International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Worldwide Air Transport Conference, IATA’s Industry Affairs Committee and IATA’s Legal Advisory Group. He was also Rapporteur of the ICAO Legal Committee on the Modernisation and Consolidation of the Warsaw System of rules for international carriage by air, Chair of the ICAO Special Working Group on the Warsaw Convention and Chair of ICAO’s Drafting Group on the 1999 Montreal Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for international Carriage by Air. Vijay holds various Directorships and is the Aviation Group Chairman of World Tourism Network and a Member of the World Economic Forum’s Gender Parity Steering Committee.
