Position

Devalingum Gopalla is a Partner at Dentons and member of the global Banking & Finance practice.

Dev’s focus is on banking, finance, capital markets, private equity, mergers and acquisitions. He has experience acting as lead counsel in Mauritius on several project finance transactions with an ESG focus element and also is a trusted advisor to leading European banks on matters relating to listing on the Mauritius stock exchange. Dev has also advised US financial institutions on cross border bond issuance and also collaborated on a number of structured finance projects for the African and Asia markets. He has intervened as a speaker for the Euromoney Conferences in New York and Nairobi on African Lending and Private Equity.

Dev has served as the Mauritius Chapter and is a member of the international executive committee for the New York State Bar Association. Prior to joining Dentons, he worked as legal director for a leading African Development Financial Institution and also has been in private practice for a magic circle law firm.
