Position

Michael Kneebone is a senior associate in the Tier 1 ranked Corporate practice in Dentons' Muscat office.

He has six years' experience working on a wide range of corporate matters including advising clients on equity sales, asset sales and related regulatory matters. His experience spans a range of different sectors including resources, agriculture and medical.

He has worked in Myanmar and Australia, and most recently worked in the Brisbane office of an international law firm prior to moving to Oman.

Career

Huaxin Cement Co: Advised on the acquisition of a nearly 60% stake in Oman Cement Company SAOG, including due diligence and advising on the share purchase agreement and post-completion arrangements, and a related mandatory takeover offer. OQ: Advising on the negotiations with MedcoEnergi and Medco Daya in relation to OQ Exploration & Production LLC's sale of a 40% interest in two oil and gas blocks in Oman. Ahli Bank SAOG: Advised on its takeover offer from Bank Dhofar, and liaising with the relevant regulators in relation to same. Oman Oil Marketing Company SAOG: Advising on the establishment of Electrical Vehicles One LLC, a company dedicated to building the infrastructure for electric vehicles (EV) in Oman and advancing the nation's eco-mobility efforts. Our advisory role extended to assisting OOMCO with EVO's capital expansion and corporate reorganisation. Green Energy Oman Consortium: Advising an international consortium comprised of OQ SAOC, Oman's global integrated energy company, InterContinental Energy, the leading dedicated green fuels developer, EnerTech, a Kuwaiti state-owned company focused on clean energy investment and development and Shell on the formation of a JV company in Oman and advising on the related project agreements to develop the Green Energy Oman (GEO) project.
