Jood Al Aamri is an associate in the Dispute Resolution team in Yaqdhan Al Busaidi Law Firm in association with Dentons’ Muscat office. She has four years of experience working as a paralegal and a trainee in the Corporate and Dispute Resolution practice before qualifying in October 2023. She is qualified to appear before the primary courts of Oman and has experience advising clients on corporate, employment and litigation matters. Her experience spans a range of different sectors including utilities and insurance. Jood is bilingual and has the ability to draft and negotiate in English and Arabic.

Sheikha Al Ajmie

Sheikha Al Ajmie is a senior associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Dentons' Muscat office. She has over 14 years' experience working on a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution matters including advising clients on commercial, civil, employment disputes and arbitrations. Sheikha is qualified to appear before the primary, appeal, administrative and supreme courts of Oman. Fatma Al Amri is a senior associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Dentons' Muscat office. She has over 9 years' experience working on a wide range of Litigation and Dispute Resolution matters including advising clients on arbitration, commercial disputes and employment. Her experience is across a range of different sectors including construction and insurance. Fatma has been appointed as Secretary to the Tribunal at the new Oman Arbitration Centre and has rights to appear before the Primary and Appeal Courts in Oman. She is bilingual and has the ability to draft and negotiate in Arabic and English.

Nada Al Amri is an associate in Dentons' Muscat office. Nada works within the Energy practice and has advised on a broad range of projects in the oil and gas, renewable energy, construction, electricity and water sectors. She has assisted with reviewing exploration and production sharing agreements, power purchasing agreements, sale and purchase agreements, and water and electricity licenses. Nada has also been involved with preparing documents for a client bidding for a green hydrogen project in Oman. Nada is bilingual and has the ability to draft and negotiate in Arabic and English.

Malaak Al Balushi

Malaak Al Balushi is an associate in the Tier One ranked corporate practice in Dentons' Muscat office. She has experience working on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including advising international and local clients on mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, corporate governance, company establishments, employment and other general corporate and commercial advisory matters. Dali Al Habboub

Dali Al Habboub is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in Dentons' Muscat office. He has over 25 years' experience working on a wide range of dispute resolution and local law matters including advising clients on high-profile cases, spanning both commercial and civil litigation and encompassing all areas of dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation. His experience is across a range of different sectors including financial institutions, governments, real estate, defence and construction. Dali spent five years as an in-house lawyer at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Oman's state-owned oil and gas company as well as spending seven years as a part time lecturer at Sudan University for Science and Technology (formerly known as Khartoum Polytechnic), teaching English law, contract law, agency law, insurance law, banking law and company law. Dali ran his own law office before moving to Oman over 25 years ago. Dali has been recognised as one of the top 10 dispute resolution champions in Oman by Business Today. He was also named in Legal 500’s Recommended Arbitration Powerlist 2023 and is ranked Band 1 in Chambers. Dali is bilingual and has the ability to draft and negotiate in Arabic and English.

Fatima Al Sabahi

Fatima Al-Sabahi is a senior associate in the Tier One ranked Corporate practice in Dentons' Muscat office. She has 13 years' experience advising Oman-based and international investors on a wide range of legal matters including advising clients on corporate, commercial and employment legal issues. Fatima is dual-qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and licensed to appear before the Omani Primary and Appeal Courts. Her experience is across a range of different sectors including oil & gas, power and water, pharmaceuticals and hospitality. Fatima worked both in private practice with an international law firm and as an in-house lawyer for a government-owned investment company in the Sultanate of Oman. Mohammed Al Shuaili

Mohammed is an Associate in the Litigation and the Dispute Resolution team based in Muscat. He joined Dentons in February 2019 and has more than 10 years experience advising local and international clients on various matters. He is licensed to appear before the Primary and Appeal Courts of the Sultanate of Oman and has extensive experience handling complex disputes before Courts and Arbitral Panels in different practice areas.

Yaqdhan Al-Busaidi

Yaqdhan Al Busaidi is a Partner in Yaqdhan Al Busaidi Law Firm in association with Dentons & Co based in the Muscat office. He has over 7 years of experience advising on Corporate, Litigation and Dispute Resolution matters, including advising clients on commercial and corporate governance and civil and commercial disputes. Sadaf Buchanan heads up the tier 1 ranked Banking and Finance team in Muscat and has more than 20 years' experience in restructuring and finance work. She also heads up the Islamic Finance initiative for the Oman office. Sadaf works alongside both lenders and borrowers in advising on security issues and options, enforcement (both solvent and insolvent routes) and commercial lending and borrowing and has also advised on a number of the landmark debt capital markets transactions from the Sultanate. She has broad experience in acting on both local and international deals and advising banks, businesses, shareholders and other stakeholders in relation to business restructurings and financing issues involving a variety of sectors from hotel and leisure to oil and gas as well as many international companies and financial institutions considering doing business in Oman. Sadaf is ranked as "Highly Regarded" by IFLR1000 2024/5 for Banking and Capital Markets: Debt.

Warda is an associate in the Energy, Infrastructure and Projects practice based in the Muscat office. Warda has previous experience of working on infrastructure projects including power projects and public-private partnerships, as well as matters relating to investment, banking and finance, corporate and commercial advisory, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and regulatory compliance, and anti-competitive action. She also has experience of teaching foundational legal courses and laws of business organizations as a lecturer in public and private sector institutions.

Jamie Gibson is the Managing Partner of Dentons' Muscat office and heads up our Tier One ranked corporate practice in Muscat. He has been practicing law in Oman since 2008 and has over 20 years' experience working on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including advising international and local clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, Company formations, commercial agencies, statutory compliance and corporate governance. He is an expert on foreign direct investment in Oman and has advised clients in a wide range of sectors, including defence, engineering, construction, FMCG, education, oil & gas, banking, logistics, manufacturing and infrastructure. Riza Ismail is counsel in the Banking and Finance practice in Dentons' Muscat office. She has over 20 years' experience working on a wide range of banking and finance matters, with particular emphasis on Islamic finance, capital markets (local and international bonds and Sukuk issuances), project finance, corporate banking (bilateral and syndicated loans) and investment funds. Her experience from previous firms includes being directly involved and responsible for groundbreaking and award-winning Islamic finance transactions in Oman, including the debut Oman sovereign Sukuk issue, the first dual currency Sukuk issuance in Oman under the Oman Sukuk Regulation and the establishment and issuance of Sukuk under the first retail Sukuk program in Oman. She also acted on major project finance transactions such as Ibri/Sohar 3 IPP, Salalah II IPP, Ghubrah IWP and the recent financing of the largest shrimp farm in Oman and the first PPP project in Oman. Riza is recognized as the "Next Generation Partner" by The Legal 500 in the 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020 guides for banking and finance. Aneela Ahmad Khan is an English-qualified associate in the Tier 1 Banking and Finance practice at Dentons Muscat. She advises financial institutions, multinational corporations and government entities on a broad range of banking and finance matters, including conventional and Islamic finance, debt capital markets, project finance, asset-based lending and structured finance. Aneela also has significant experience in corporate restructurings and turnaround strategies, assisting clients in navigating complex financial challenges to optimise their capital structures. She collaborates closely with Dentons' senior leadership on the firm's market-leading Islamic Finance offering, working with Shari'a scholars and supervisory boards to structure innovative and compliant solutions. Additionally, Aneela has advised clients on green and sustainability-linked loans, assisting them in structuring financing arrangements that align with their environmental objectives and sustainability targets.

Michael Kneebone

Michael Kneebone is a senior associate in the Tier 1 ranked Corporate practice in Dentons' Muscat office. He has 8 years experience working on a wide range of corporate matters including advising clients on equity sales, asset sales and related regulatory matters. His experience spans a range of different sectors including resources, agriculture and medical. He has worked in Myanmar and Australia, and most recently worked in the Brisbane office of an international law firm prior to moving to Oman.

Yasser is a partner heading our Middle East Energy Transport and Infrastructure practice. He is based in Muscat having previously worked with the firm in London and Dubai. He has more than 12 years' experience working on a wide range of projects across the GCC region in sectors that include oil and gas, infrastructure, renewables and energy transition. Yasser is ranked in Chambers and is highlighted as a "Next Generation Partner" in Legal 500. He also sits as a non-executive director on the board of Outward-Bound Oman. Yasser is bilingual and has the ability to draft and negotiate in Arabic and English.

Simon specialises in Telecoms, IT, E-Commerce, Technology and Intellectual Property Law and is Head of Telecoms for the Middle East. He has over 20 years of legal experience, including over 10 years as a partner in UK-based international law firms (8 of these in a leading telecoms and technology firm). He advises on a broad range of regulatory, antitrust, commercial contracts, licensing, corporate and employment law issues. Simon has spent 6 years in the Middle East, initially as Head of Legal and Regulatory in Batelco, the Bahrain telecoms incumbent, then performing the same function in Atheeb, a new entrant in the telecoms sector in Saudi Arabia, before starting his own practice advising on telecoms and IT throughout the Middle East.
