He has over 25 years' experience working on a wide range of dispute resolution and local law matters including advising clients on high-profile cases, spanning both commercial and civil litigation and encompassing all areas of dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation. His experience is across a range of different sectors including financial institutions, governments, real estate, defence and construction. Dali spent five years as an in-house lawyer at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Oman's state-owned oil and gas company as well as spending seven years as a part time lecturer at Sudan University for Science and Technology (formerly known as Khartoum Polytechnic), teaching English law, contract law, agency law, insurance law, banking law and company law. Dali ran his own law office before moving to Oman over 25 years ago. Dali has been recognised as one of the top 10 dispute resolution champions in Oman by Business Today. She has over 20 years' experience working on a wide range of banking and finance matters, with particular emphasis on Islamic finance, capital markets (local and international bonds and Sukuk issuances), project finance, corporate banking (bilateral and syndicated loans) and investment funds. Her experience from previous firms includes being directly involved and responsible for groundbreaking and award-winning Islamic finance transactions in Oman, including the debut Oman sovereign Sukuk issue, the first dual currency Sukuk issuance in Oman under the Oman Sukuk Regulation and the establishment and issuance of Sukuk under the first retail Sukuk program in Oman. She also acted on major project finance transactions such as Ibri/Sohar 3 IPP, Salalah II IPP, Ghubrah IWP and the recent financing of the largest shrimp farm in Oman and the first PPP project in Oman. She collaborates closely with Dentons' senior leadership on the firm's market-leading Islamic Finance offering, working with Shari'a scholars and supervisory boards to structure innovative and compliant solutions. Simon has spent 6 years in the Middle East, initially as Head of Legal and Regulatory in Batelco, the Bahrain telecoms incumbent, then performing the same function in Atheeb, a new entrant in the telecoms sector in Saudi Arabia, before starting his own practice advising on telecoms and IT throughout the Middle East.
