Career

Katie has a great deal of experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters, in the fields of trade marks, copyright, designs and domain names. She advises a wide range of clients, from individuals or small companies with no intellectual property experience, to major international corporations with substantial IP portfolios.

She joined Maucher Jenkins in 2006 and qualified as a UK Registered Trade Mark Attorney and Authorised Representative before the EUIPO in the same year.

Katie has extensive experience in handling opposition proceedings before the Community Trade Marks Office, both in French and German. Her language skills are of assistance when dealing with French and German speaking clients and associates.

Within the IP profession, Katie has been a member of CITMA's Governing Council, as well as chairing its Programme/Events Committees and being a member of the Designs Committee and the Law & Practice Committee. She speaks regularly at conferences on a wide range of subjects and also assists students with exam preparation. Katie has also been a member of INTA's Non-Traditional Trade Marks Committee.

In 2011, Katie completed an LLM in Intellectual Property Litigation, gaining a distinction.
