Career

Angela heads the firm’s UK Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. She specialises in intellectual property litigation and matters involving trade marks, copyright and domain names. Angela counsels clients on disputes, brand protection, strategy and enforcement. She has extensive experience in clearing and protecting trade marks and in handling domain name and company name disputes and matters relating to trade mark infringement and passing off, including litigation, advocacy, opinion and advisory work. She is also an experienced negotiator in mediations and settlement discussions.

Angela also advises on IP-related commercial transactions and relationships, including assignments, licenses and non-disclosure agreements.

Angela is a solicitor advocate and certified trade mark litigator, and also serves as a domain name panellist for the World Intellectual Property Organisation ("WIPO") Arbitration and Mediation Center. She has served on the official users committees for the IP Court and the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court. Angela is also an Irish solicitor and an attorney-at-law in the US, having been admitted to the bar of the state of New York.

Angela is author of Intellectual Property Enterprise Court: Practice & Procedure (Sweet & Maxwell, 3rd Ed.), the leading guide on litigating in the IPEC.

Memberships

Angela serves as a domain name panellist for the World Intellectual Property Organisation ("WIPO") Arbitration and Mediation Center. She has served on the official users committees for the IP Court and the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court.

Angela is a Partner in the Trade Marks Team and a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, Attorney at Law (New York), Higher Courts Litigator and Advocate, Solicitor (England and Wales), Solicitor (Ireland) and a Registered European Lawyer (Munich).
