John specialises in both public and private law children cases. He also accepts instruction in Financial Remedy and via Direct Access.

He often represents parents in complex public law proceedings as well as appearing on behalf of the child. His caseload includes the particularly vulnerable along with those facing the most serious of allegations such as physical and sexual abuse, non-accidental injury, factious illness, and child fatality.

John has extensive experience in all aspects of private law children cases including complex fact-finding hearings, parental alienation, relocation, and intractable contact disputes and has represented children via rule 16.4.

John has experience of a diverse client base in particular Eastern European and Roma clients. He regularly works with interpreters and intermediaries.
