Alice joined Druces in 2019 as a solicitor having trained in Family and Private Client law. Promoted to Associate in 2022, she advises high net worth individuals on estate and tax planning, including will preparation, trust and estate administration, retaining a focussed practice in charity law and Court of Protection applications. Her probate practice spans France, Spain, and Italy, navigating double-taxation treaties, being particularly knowledgeable on the Trust Registration Service. Alice handles contentious probate cases and provides pre-arrival planning for non-domiciled individuals, covering residency tests, remittance basis, advising on domicile and breaking domicile, de-enveloping offshore trusts and BVI companies and advising on ongoing offshore trusts. Actively building relationships with charity and trust company clients, recently expanding her network in the Channel Islands. Alice is a full member of STEP. When not in the office Alice enjoys playing netball and travelling.

Antony is a Partner in Druces’ Corporate & Commercial team. He has built up a wealth of expertise in transactional work such as advising clients on M&A, private investment, and joint ventures. Over time, Antony’s practice has pivoted away from general corporate transactional work and towards financial services. Today he spends much of his time advising banks and other lending institutions and corporate borrowers on a wide array of leveraged financing transactions including acquisition, real estate and trade finance as well as general corporate lending and Sharia’a compliant finance. Antony regularly advises clients on FCA regulatory issues surrounding financial promotion and regulated activities. He also advises managers in relation to the set-up, structuring and documenting of property, venture, debt and hedge funds. Australian born, Antony is admitted as a solicitor in both Australia (Queensland) and England & Wales. Benjamin Lomer is a partner and Head of Property Litigation in Druces LLP’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. He has wide experience in dealing with both property litigation and commercial litigation matters. In respect of commercial property, Ben acts for both landlords and tenants and specialises in business tenancies including advising lease renewals, terminations, and dealing with associated notices and Court proceedings. Ben is familiar and experienced with advising landlords on the implications of tenant insolvency events, including those who have entered into CVA’s. Ben regularly deals with enforcement issues, including recovery of rent arrears, dilapidations claims, and recovering vacant possession of property when necessary. In respect of residential property, Ben acts for landlords and tenants in dealing with enfranchisement both on an individual basis (lease extension) and collective basis (purchase of freehold). Ben also deals with high value cases regarding breaches of lease. Ben deals with the associated notices, Court or Tribunal proceedings. Cheryl is a Solicitor in Druces’ Corporate and Commercial team. She joined the firm as a corporate legal assistant in January 2019 and started her training contract with Druces in March 2021. Cheryl studied History at the University of Kent. After graduating from her degree, Cheryl volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau and then moved to an in-house legal department. More recently, Cheryl worked as a paralegal/PA in a city law firm whilst completing the Graduate Diploma in Law. She then went on to obtain a distinction in her Master of Laws at the University of Law.  
Christopher Evans
Christopher Evans
Christopher Evans is a Consultant in Druces’ Corporate & Commercial Department. A qualified barrister and solicitor, he was called to the Bar in 1980 (Inner Temple) and became a solicitor in 1989. Between 1989 and 1991 he was head of the company/commercial department of Merriman White solicitors and in 1991 he set up and managed Izod Evans, a niche commercial law firm at London Bridge which specialised in providing business legal services to UK SMEs and UK subsidiaries of foreign corporations. He is experienced in a wide range of corporate, commercial and employment matters, particularly in the media, technology and creative industries. He also has experience of dealing with government and non-profit making bodies. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is Druces LLP’s contact for London & Partners, an organisation which helps international businesses connect with London. He has a keen interest in the arts and is a Founder Patron of the Photographers’ Gallery and a Benefactor of the Design Museum where he mentors young designers in the Designers in Residence programme. He is also a qualified pilot having learnt to fly in the United States.  
Christopher Proudley
Christopher Proudley
Christopher is a consultant in our Real Estate team. He specialises in planning and compulsory purchase, advising both the private and public sectors on all related matters and has practiced in this area since qualification. He advises on planning policy, applications and appeals for planning permissions, negotiation of section 106 agreements and submission of unilateral undertakings, as well as CIL liability. He also deals with contracts for sale of land conditional on planning permission, compulsory purchase matters, both promoting and resisting, and town centre and other brown field site regeneration. He advises on infrastructure agreements, listed buildings and conservation areas, the risk of judicial review and road closure orders. He regularly speaks on planning and related matters, both at conferences and individually for his clients.

Christopher is the Head of Corporate and is a member of Druces Executive Committee which manages the firm’s direction and vision for the future. He deals with a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including AIM and AQSE work, national and international joint ventures and group restructuring. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions in regulated industries and has particular expertise in advising financiers, investors, owners and operators in the leisure and healthcare sectors. He is also experienced in dealing with Sharia’a compliant transactions. Christopher is a contributing author of Jordans “Care Standards: A Practical Guide” (2009). He read Economics at Exeter University before switching his interests to Law and being called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn and cross qualifying as a solicitor in 2003. He joined Druces in October 2007 from another City practice where he was a Partner. He lives in Canary Wharf with his wife Claire. His interests include fine wine and food, the theatre, reading and he occasionally remembers that he is a member of a gym. He graduated from Durham University in 1997 with a degree in Law and, after completing the LPC at the College of Law in York, Dominic joined Ronaldsons where he qualified in 2000. As a key member of our Capital Markets practice, Jack’s services include AIM listings, transitions from AIM to the Main Market, direct Main Market listings, secondary fundraisings and dual listings involving overseas exchanges. As well as representing issuers coming to the market for the first time, Jack advises issuers and their boards in relation to the ongoing requirements of being a publicly quoted company. Jack’s focus is principally on issuer side work, and he has also acted for various corporate advisers. Jack has developed a particular expertise in advising cash shells, quoted companies, or companies seeking admission to a stock exchange in the natural resources, technology and corporate finance sectors, with operations spread across the world. Jack also advises clients on convertible loan notes, mergers and acquisitions and a variety of public company work. Outside of work, Jack enjoys exploring London, keeping fit and attending concerts. Jo is a Senior Associate in our Real Estate team and specialises in Commercial Property. She qualified as a solicitor in 2014 and joined Druces LLP in 2023. Jo’s expertise includes portfolio asset management, the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold commercial property and all aspects of non-contentious landlord and tenant matters. Jo also acts for borrowers and guarantors in connection with secured lending and assists with the property aspects of corporate sales and acquisitions. Karen is also a member of the Druces Executive Committee which manages the firm’s direction and vision for the future. During her time at Druces LLP she has acted on over 200 property syndicates. She acts for a variety of clients including private investors, retailers, developers and property companies. Karen also serves as non-executive director of Summerfield Development (SW) Limited and Summerfield Estates Limited, property development and investment companies in the Southwest of England. Karen joined Druces LLP in 1992 and a became partner in 2001. She lives in Coleshill, Buckinghamshire with her husband and enjoys playing the piano and foreign travel. Qualified in 2011, Katie has experience in leasehold enfranchisement, including the right of first refusal and UK commercial and residential high value property transactions. Katie advises a wide range of clients from individuals to collective groups of tenants and entrepreneurs to large multi-national companies. Katie also works closely with the Corporate and Commercial Team on transactions involving property aspects, in particular share purchase agreements and franchise agreements. Krupa joined the firm in August 2021 as an Associate in the Private Wealth department. Krupa acts for a wide range of clients from individuals and families both domestic and international. Krupa’s breadth of private client work includes, but is not limited to, wills and estate planning, probate and estate administration, trust administration and Court of Protection work. Krupa also has a keen focus on International Wealth and fiduciary matters assisting Robert Macro. This involves advising clients on pre-arrival planning, departure planning, pre-domicile planning and offshore trust advisory work for resident non-domiciled clients and clients planning to move to the UK. Recently, Krupa has also been involved with HMRC investigation work for clients who are UK resident non-domiciled. This involves income tax investigations, large debt management negotiations, and facilitating disclosures under the worldwide disclosure facility. Krupa is a full member of STEP and is working towards the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients. Krupa has been nominated and shortlisted for the Tomorrow Club Award at the 2024 Magic Circle Awards. Prior to joining Druces, Krupa worked at a regional firm, based in Richmond-upon-Thames. She read Law at City, University of London and thereafter completed her Legal Practice course and LLM in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Law in Bloomsbury. Nigel Adams joined the firm as Head of Dispute Resolution in February 2022. He is a versatile lawyer who combines a wide raging commercial litigation practice with media-focused work. His M&A experience is especially broad and he contributed the tax chapter for “Oil and Gas Sale and Purchase Agreements” (Globe Law and Business, 2016). Paul joined Druces in November 2017 after 14 years with two major US law firms, prior to that he was a partner at Denton Wilde Sapte.

Phillip is a Partner specialising in Employment and Immigration law. He has a wealth of experience in handling a broad range of employment and immigration cases with particular expertise in resolving intricate HR issues and providing advice on sponsor licence and corporate visa applications. Phillip’s work has covered matters arising out of recruitment, employee absenteeism, whistleblowing, TUPE transfers, business reorganisation, employee grievances, disciplinary proceedings, dismissals, and the enforceability of post-termination restrictive covenants. Alongside his Employment experience, Phillip also provides expert Immigration advice. He regularly advises on sponsor licence applications and supporting visa applications for individuals whom businesses wish to recruit. Richard is a highly regarded Construction lawyer with broad experience across the sector. He has been involved in notable matters successfully assisting clients caught up in the HSBC data theft in Switzerland and advised fiduciaries drawn into litigation with a Middle Eastern state government following the Arab Spring. He also pioneered the successful use of various tax reliefs with claims for the remittance basis of taxation. Robert acts for trustee companies around the world with an emphasis on trustees based in the jurisdictions of the BVI, Switzerland, Mauritius, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. His experience ranges from first round start-ups for small to mid-size businesses in sectors as diverse as hi-tech university spin-outs and property, leisure and financial service entities, to venture capital, private equity and capital markets work involving fund raising and investor exits, to major project work and mergers and acquisitions. He has also worked on almost everything in-between, including most of the commercial work that clients involved in such diverse areas typically require ranging from IP and IT to distribution, agency, franchise and joint venture agreements and advice on competition law. For a number of years Toby has also specialised in representing high net worth individuals (typically in the financial services sector) in employment related matters both contentious (High Court and Employment Tribunal) and non-contentious. He has built up a considerable expertise in this highly confidential and complex area. He is a member of the Alliance of Business Lawyers, an exciting and dynamic organisation of law firms around the world with an international clientele. Victoria has been working in London since 1999. She is a solicitor-advocate with rights of audience in the High Court. Victoria is also a Russian qualified lawyer and has an extensive experience of acting for Russian speaking clients on a wide range of private and commercial matters. She is a member of the Committee of the British Russian Law Association and is a member of Russian and CIS Arbitration Network. Victoria graduated with distinction from BPP Law School in London in 2004 and holds an LLM in International Business Law from Central European University (1999, Soros Foundation scholarship).
