Garrigues Chile‘s ’diverse and very responsible team’ is regularly mandated to act in large construction-related infrastructure, energy and mining arbitrations. Following the August 2024 departure of Monica Van Der Schraft to focus on her work as an arbitrator, the firm hired Karen Werner, formerly a partner at Jana & Gil Dispute Resolution as the new practice head at the office. With over 15 years’ dispute resolution experience across both litigation and arbitration, Werner also has particular expertise in company law and partnership disputes. Principal associate José Joaquín Verdugo acts in mining, construction, energy and corporate-related conflicts. Cristóbal Sarralde is no longer at the firm.
