RPC‘s broad commercial litigation practice ranges from technology to banking to fraud disputes. The team has also noted a recent increase in group litigation, particularly in the technology and retail sectors. Practice head Geraldine Elliott is a ’seasoned litigator’ and an expert in shareholder and joint venture disputes, as well as warranty claims and asset and financial recovery. Specialising in financial litigation, Simon Hart handles disputes related to derivative products, lending arrangements and restructuring and insolvency. Charlotte Henschen represents clients in contractual disputes and civil fraud claims. The team was strengthened by the addition of Caroline Tuck from Deloitte in October 2023.

  • ‘Charlotte Henschen is everything you could ask for in a litigation solicitor: tough, calm, clever and a delight to deal with.’

  • ‘Simon Hart - incredibly capable and hardworking partner who is phenomenal at communicating difficult points to clients and always across the bigger strategic picture. Nadia Asfour - brilliant associate who is impressively organised and responsive.’

  • ‘Caroline Tuck has been an incredible resource to our team. We really view her more as a partner in our business rather than just outside counsel. She has offered valuable suggestions that extend beyond our approach to potential litigation. We recently reached out to Caroline for assistance on a US litigation related to the UK litigation for which we had originally enagaged her. She provided us with excellent work product and strategic recommendations that were incredibly helpful.’

  • ‘I am working in massive litigation with a team led by partners Rupert Boswall, Davina Given and Charlotte Henschen; with an excellent team of associates including Dan Hemming, Tim Potts, Sean Cannon and Christopher Wheatley. The stand out characteristic of the team is the degree of dedication and hands on effort they bring to every aspect of the litigation. Outstanding.’

  • ‘Tom Hibbert is one of the heavyweight figures in the London market, with vast experience. Dan Hemming is one of the younger partners who I suspect will be the stars of the next generation. Hemming is an absolutely brilliant lawyer who has a deep understanding of the commercial objectives.’

  • ‘RPC is a long-standing and distinguished player on the London litigation scene. Perhaps best known for insurance, professional indemnity and banking litigation work, but is increasingly growing into a well-rounded commercial dispute powerhouse with some exceptionally fine lawyers.’

  • ‘Geraldine Elliott is a seasoned litigator who makes excellent judgment calls. Matthew Evans is an able and veratile lawyer adept at handling a range of matters. Adam Forster is a skilled lawyer who excels at mastering the detail of complex disputes.’

  • ‘Dan Hemming - careful and thoughtful, works at a problem until he has solved it. Very clever but wears it lightly. Davina Given - really strong technical lawyer. Tim Potts - absolute workhorse of an associate.’
