Fieldfisher continues to build out its derivatives and structured finance practice, which is highly regarded for a team that is ‘friendly, personable and fantastic to work with, alongside being excellent on the technical side’. The practice, which is now led by trading documentation, structured trades, and regulatory expert Emma Spiers, hired former A&O Shearman practice head Emma Dwyer in May 2024, adding market-leading knowledge of derivative products, market infrastructure and regulation. Dwyer joins highly rated derivatives expert Guy Usher, netting and collateral specialist Edward Miller, and Sebastian Reger, who acts for both buy-side and sell-side clients on derivatives, structured finance and debt capital market transactions. Reger recently advised a major insurer on a £2bn longevity swap. Up-and-coming partner Jenny Warren also plays a central role in the practice, which has deep knowledge of repo, securities lending and structured derivative transactions.
