Working across the firm’s Mexico City and Monterrey locations, the bankruptcy practice at Galicia Abogados S.C. is frequently involved in restructurings, distressed asset transactions, and preventive financial restructuring, acting on behalf of both creditors and creditors. Additional pillars of practice include advising on the restructuring of sovereign debt, and the provision of transactional advice – covering leveraged buyouts, distressed M&A, corporate break-ups and spin-offs, divestitures and distressed financing. Monterrey-based Eugenio Sepúlveda co-leads the team from the Monterrey office and handles banking, M&A, project finance, and restructuring mandates. Also in Monterrey, senior associate Andrés Caro de la Fuente assists across the gamut of restructuring matters. Disputes partner Rodrigo Zamora co-leads from Mexico City. Karla Silva joined from White & Case S.C. in October 2024.
