The September 2022 arrival of experienced senior associate Georgina Gutíerrez (from Sainz Abogados) as practice head has given a timely boost to Cacheaux, Cavazos & Newton‘s environmental and ESG capabilities; based in Mexico City, she oversees a four-strong team that undertakes the full range of  relevant matters (including audits, compliance and the appeal of administrative rulings, along with the environmental aspect of transactional matters), and has been active of late with mandates including industrial site closures and potential liabilities (civil, administrative and criminal) regarding water resources and non-hazardous waste.
