Chávez Vargas Abogados' projects capabilities centre on the structuring of PPPs, the preparation of legal documentation for bid procedures, and the financing of infrastructure projects involving toll roads, water storage, logistics facilities and hospitals. Public and private companies, domestic and foreign banks, and rating agencies typically feature on the group’s client roster. Following founding partner José Antonio Chávez Vargas' stepping down from his managerial role (although he remains a strategic advisor to the firm), the practice is led by Alejandro Carreño, who focuses on the financing of infrastructure, real estate, industrial and hospitality projects. He is ably supported by senior associate Cynthia Ibarra, who majors on project finance and real estate transactions. Since publication, Carreño has left the firm - effective as of October 2024.
