Janette retrained in 2004 and qualified as a solicitor with Nockolds in 2007 after working as a maths and science teacher with VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas) in Zimbabwe for 2 years and also working as a paralegal with Belmores Solicitors in Norwich.
Janette joined Ashtons Legal in 2014 and made Associate in 2016, then Senior Associate in 2018.
Janette works in our Lifetime Planning Team, heading up the Ipswich team, specialising in advising elderly and vulnerable clients on issues surrounding succession, tax and mental capacity.
Janette is the Programme Secretary and Vice Chair of the local branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She also volunteers at the local Citizens Advice Bureau and Age UK law clinic.
