Stibbe
Marieke acts for large Dutch and international corporates, financial institutions, investment funds and other financial market participants. She specialises in banking, capital markets, structured finance and project finance, as well as regulatory issues in the financial markets. Her practice involves a broad range of transactions in the financial markets, including credit facilities, project financings, capital markets transactions, structured finance, restructurings and regulatory issues in the financial markets. She has a Master of Laws from Maastricht University (1996). She holds a M.Jur. degree from Oxford University and a LL.M. degree from Columbia University in New York. Marieke is also qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an attorney-at-law in New York and has practiced law in London, New York and Italy. Before joining Stibbe as a partner in January 2021, Marieke gained 23 years of experience at other international law firms. Marieke has written many articles and contributed to books on financial markets law and practice. She regularly speaks on the areas of her expertise.
Houthoff
Jessica works at both the London and Amsterdam offices and specialises in international financial transactions, particularly in relation to project and real estate financing. She also advises clients on banking and securities law, in particular with regard to financial regulation. Jessica is a member of the International Bar Association and the Dutch Association for Securities Law.
Van Doorne
Angelique is part of the Financing team. Working from the Amsterdam and London offices, she assists with national and international property and project financing transactions. She also advises on the acquisition and sale of credit portfolios (commercial, ‘bad bank’) and restructuring solutions for property loans. Angelique is a highly experienced specialist in Dutch and cross-border secured financing transactions. Angelique acts for Dutch and foreign banks and other financial institutions, (special) servicers, investors and large and medium sized companies as a legal advisor, negotiator and transaction manager on domestic and cross-border finance transactions, with an emphasis on property and project financing transactions (syndicated and clubloans, CMBS, restructurings, sell-downs, loan portfolio sales). Angelique has a PhD in Dutch, English and German banking law.
Houthoff
Loet is head of Houthoff’s Banking & Finance practice group and of the Financial Services section and he has a particular focus on cross-border banking and financing transactions, and financial restructuring. He has extensive experience in advising clients and with transactions in the financial sector, including in relation to acquisition financing, real estate financing, syndicated and bilateral loans, debt restructuring, and structured and asset-based financing. His clients include financial institutions, private equity parties and other funds and companies. Loet regularly lectures on banking and securities law.
Stek
Herman Wamelink is a Partner in Stek's finance group, specialising in large domestic and cross-border financing transactions, acting for both financiers and borrowers. Herman has extensive experience in leveraged finance, project finance and general corporate lending in the mid-market/large corporates segment and has advised on multiple asset based financings. Key clients include ABN AMRO Bank, ING Bank, Rabobank, NIBC, BNG Bank and Deutsche Bank Nederland.
