Johnny Johansen

Partner and chair of the board Johnny Johansen is among Norway’s most respected legal practitioners. He has substantial experience in litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution, and is admitted to the Supreme Court. He is particularly renowned for his work in large and complex construction and infrastructure projects, including buildings, roads, railways, power plants, and onshore aquaculture farms. In the latter, he has over the last years been ranked as the leading construction lawyer in Norway. Johansen frequently sits as an arbitrator in international and domestic contract disputes. Partner Nils-Henrik Pettersson has worked as a lawyer since 1984. He has litigated hundreds of civil cases before the courts, including around 25 cases before the Supreme Court. Heimdal specialises in construction law and has extensive experience of contract negotiations, project support, risk management and dispute resolution in the building and construction sector. This includes various types of partnering models. He has considerable experience of dispute resolution and in-court advocacy, and has represented clients in both the district and appeal courts. Heimdal previously worked as a lawyer with the construction companies AF Gruppen and Veidekke Entreprenør, during which time he provided legal assistance on a wide range of large and complex building and construction projects. At the same time, he gained considerable insight into the technical and commercial challenges facing the sector. Heimdal has in-depth knowledge of the description systems used in Norwegian construction projects, NS 3420 and Handbook R761/R762 (Process Code).
