Position
Jacob Sand is head of the firm's Labour & Employment practice group. Jacob specialises in a broad range of employment law issues. Having worked for more than 3½ years as a Legal Secretary at the European Court of Justice and having acted as an active advocate before the EU Court, Jacob has state-of-the-art knowledge and understanding of all aspects of EU employment law. Jacob Sand combines this knowledge with profound insight into collective labour law. This means that he is one of the most widely used litigators in Labour Court cases.
Career
Jacob Sand was born in 1967 and joined Gorrissen Federspiel in 2005. He became partner and head of Labour & Employment in 2008. His practice areas include all aspects of labour and employment law. Jacob Sand was the co-author of "The Commented Act on the Transfer of Un-dertakings", DJØF 2002. He has a unique knowledge and understanding of all EU law aspects of labour law given his previous work-experience from the European Court of Justice. Prior to joining Gorrissen Federspiel Jacob Sand has worked as attorney for Bech-Bruun Dragsted from 2002 to 2004, as Legal Secretary with the European Court of Justice from 1998 to 2002, as attorney for Aros Advokater from 1995 to 1998 and as attorney and assistant attorney for Bech-Bruun & Trolle 1992-1995.
