Alexander Troeltzsch Larsen has advised Danish and foreign companies in real estate matters for a number of years. Alexander has extensive experience with all aspects of real estate project development, including the buying and selling of development properties and projects, rental law, planning law and construction law issues as well as structuring and completion of project sales. Moreover, Alexander's expertise encompasses transactions concerning the buying and selling of commercial and investment properties, for instance office and retail trade properties and shopping centres, as well as the drafting and negotiation of commercial lease agreements. Alexander gives frequent lectures to Estate Media and private companies on for instance planning law issues.

Anders Ørjan Jensen

Anders Ørjan Jensen is co-head of the firm's Corporate M&A and Capital Markets group and advises international and domestic clients on securities and corporate law matters, focusing primarily on capital market transactions, mergers & acquisitions and securities law advice. Anders also advises on corporate governance matters, management incentive programs and corporate reorganizations.

Anders Peter G Christoffersen

Anders Peter Christoffersen co-heads our Corporate/M&A practice group and assists Danish and foreign companies and private equity companies, advising on contracts, company law, foundations law, M&A transactions, venture capital, shareholders’ agreements and incentive schemes. Anders has extensive experience with advising on and negotiating commercial contracts, M&A and incentive schemes. He has assisted both foundations and founders in connection with, among other things, the formation, acquisition and sale of venture companies.

Andreas Hertel

Andreas Hertel advises Danish and international clients on all aspects of securities law, including takeovers, corporate and commercial law issues as well as matters relating to M&A transactions, for instance transaction structure, due diligence, document drafting and negotiations. Moreover, Andreas has extensive experience of general corporate law issues, mergers, demergers, restructurings, management matters and shareholder issues. Andreas also brings a wealth of experience in litigation and arbitration, primarily the handling of disputes arising out of M&A transactions.Last but not least, Andreas is a part-time lecturer of corporate law and securities law at the University of Copenhagen.

Bo Holse

Bo Holse primarily focuses on various transactions in the financial sector and on regulatory issues relating to banks. Since 1997, Bo has worked with M&A, company law and commercial contracts. As a result of his background from the Aarhus School of Business, he takes a distinctly commercial approach to his cases. Since 2008, Bo has assisted in more than 30 transactions, including mergers, public issues, takeover bids and IPOs in the financial sector. In addition to financial companies, Bo also assists a number of industrial clients whom he was worked with for many years.Bo is head of our office in Aarhus and is on our executive board.

Camilla Collet

Camilla C. Collet assists Danish and international companies with M&A transactions, commercial contracts, reorganisations and other transactions, often of an international nature and where the understanding of commercial principles is paramount. Camilla has particular expertise in the life sciences segment where she has assisted with numerous acquisitions, sales and investments in life sciences companies. She advises pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies and manufacturers of medical devices on a current basis. Camilla also has experience with transactions within, among other things, industry, real property, insurance and the entertainment industry. As head of our Compliance & CSR cross-practice group, Camilla advises on anti-corruption, export control, sanctions and business ethics, among other things. Finally, Camilla has experience with board duties and regularly lectures on M&A, Contracts and Compliance.

Chantal Pernille Patel

Chantal Pernille Patel advises on a broad range of corporate law and capital market matters in particular in connection with capital market transactions and securities regulation as well as M&A. Chantal has advised a wide spectrum of corporate clients as well as private equity funds and other institutional investors in a number of public and directed offerings of equity, corporate reorganisations, M&A, structured sales processes and public tender offers for listed companies. Chantal also has extensive experience in advising clients on general corporate law matters as well as Danish listed companies on Danish securities law aspects and corporate governance matters.

Charlotte Thorsen

Charlotte undertakes a broad range of corporate and commercial work. Her practice focuses on domestic and international M&A transactions and corporate finance, including the establishment of joint ventures, private equity transactions, structured sales processes and equity financing. In addition to M&A and corporate finance, Charlotte is an expert advising clients on corporate and foundation law matters, corporate governance as well as in matters of a general commercial law nature. Her expertise encompasses company formation, corporate organisation, governance and liability, shareholders' agreements, incentive schemes and corporate restructurings. Charlotte has particular expertise within the financial services and energy & utilities sectors.

Christian Aaby Köhler

Christian Aaby Larsen advises Danish and foreign clients, primarily on IT law and outsourcing. Christian also has broad experience within employment and labour law.

Christian Halskov Sauer

Christian Halskov Sauer is partner in Gorrissen Federspiel's Energy & Infrastructure group and has assisted Danish and international actors in the energy sector for more than 15 years. Christian has been an adviser on renewable projects in more than 30 countries, which has given him significant industry knowledge. Christian has considerable insight into and experience in advising on project development both in Denmark and internationally with focus on onshore and offshore wind, solar energy projects, biogas and power-to-x. Moreover, Christian has globally advised and negotiated FIDIC-based EPC contracts and OMS contracts for renewable projects. As a significant element in connection with renewable projects, Christian advises on different PPA structures and offtake contracts on power-to-x projects. Christian is part of Gorrissen Federspiel's Corporate / M&A practice group and his primary focus is on providing advice in connection with purchase and sale of companies and investments and financing within energy and infrastructure.

Christoffer Fode

Christoffer Fode is partner in Gorrissen Federspiel's practice group Corporate/M&A. He provides advice to Danish and international clients in relation to M&A processes and oterhe corporate transactions , and he has extensive experience in relation to the structuring and coordination of complex, cross-functional processes. Also, Christoffer has extensive experience with all types of corporate law matter, including with the establishment of JVs and Consortia. In addition, Christoffer is part of our cross-practice group for Energy & Infrastructure and he has extensive experience in relation to regulatory issues in the energy and utilities sector, particularly in respect of renewable energy projects.

David Telyas

David Telyas advises on a variety of matters related to the digital business sphere and the interface between law and technology, including in respect of online platforms, software and emerging technologies such as NFT's and artificial intelligence. His primary focus in that respect is on intellectual property rights, consumer law, marketing law, data protection and related legal fields of relevance to digital business. Thus, David has assisted a number of Danish and foreign companies in relation to, amongst others, launches of new service and product offerings, M&A transactions, cases initiated by the supervisory authorities and disputes before the courts with digital aspects at their core.

Ditte Grundtvig Larsen

For several years, Ditte Grundtvig Larsen has specialised in advising on labour and employment law. Particularly, Ditte has extensive practical experience with employment law aspects of major national and international transactions where she advises on transfer of employees and collective bargaining agreements as well as employer obligations with regard to information and consultation. Ditte also has extensive practical experience with general labour and employment law issues, including termination of employments where both legal and HR aspects come into play.

Emily Nordin

Emily advises on a broad range of corporate law and capital market matters and is regularly involved in capital markets transactions and M&A transactions both in Europe and in the United States. Prior to joining Gorrissen Federspiel, she spent more than five years practicing as an attorney in New York at Hughes Hubbard & Reed and London at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. Emily has considerable experience advising both issuers and underwriters, including on matters relating to high yield bond issuances and capital restructurings. She was admitted to the New York bar in 2013 and holds a master's degree from Columbia Law School and a PhD from the University of Antwerp.

Erik Kjær-Hansen

Erik Kjær-Hansen is a competition law expert and the head of the Gorrissen Federspiel's EU & Competition Law practice group. For more than 20 years, Erik has assisted Danish and international entities in relation to competition law, procurement law and state aid law. He has comprehensive litigation experience and has conducted cases before the Supreme Court. In respect of competition law, Erik focuses on litigation (including actions for damages), issues relating to dominant undertakings and cartel probes. In relation to procurement law, he assists authorities and undertakings in carrying through tender procedures, submitting bids and conducting complaints proceedings. Erik also assists undertakings and authorities with other regulatory issues and has significant experience with external legal investigations. He also acts as arbitrator.

Gitte Lansner

Gitte is partner in Gorrissen Federspiel's Corporate / M&A practice group and also part of our cross-practice group for Energy & Infrastructure as well as member of our French Desk and Spanish Desk. Gitte renders assistance on a current basis to a wide range of listed and unlisted companies as well as private equity funds, family offices and other investors, primarily in connection with the acquisition and sale of companies and minority investments, entering of shareholders' agreements and other shareholder and corporate law issues. She thus has extensive experience in both large and medium-sized transactions, both inbound and outbound, and in structured sales processes, W&I insured transactions, platform and add-on acquisitions, etc., notably within IT/Tech, Energy/Infrastructure and shipping. Gitte furthermore assists large players in the energy sector, including in connection with acquisitions and minority investments. Gitte has a long-standing background in providing general legal and commercial advice to companies and wide experience in both corporate law matters, including not least PE-owned companies, commercial contracts, supplier and customer relationships and general terms of delivery, as well as general business conditions. Finally, Gitte has experience in criminal matters from her prior work with the Danish Police and Prosecution Service.

Hans-Peter Jørgensen

Hans-Peter Jørgensen advises Gorrissen Federspiel's Danish and foreign clients on all aspects of conveyancing and lease of real property, construction and consultancy law, project development and procurement law. Hans-Peter renders assistance on a current basis in significant transactions as well as in relation to building and construction projects. Moreover, Hans-Peter is a frequent lecturer at the University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, the Association of Danish Law Firms as well as the Building and Construction Arbitration Board, and he has issued a number of legal publications. In 1992, Hans-Peter was on secondment to Pinsent Masons in London.

Henriette Gernaa

Henriette Gernaa is head of the firm's Dispute Resolution practice and Insurance sector group. She is also a member of the firm's off-shore and professional services cross-practice groups. Henriette has wide experience in international arbitration as counsel and arbitrator as well as in commercial litigation.

Henrik Saugmandsgaard Øe

Henrik Saugmandsgaard Øe joined Gorrissen Federspiel as partner of the firm after the end of his time as Danish Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union. While fulfilling this role, Henrik contributed to solving a large amount of highly important cases, among others a great number of cases before the Grand Chamber, providing him with a thorough knowledge of and experience within EU law and EU procedural law. As Advocate General, he has submitted Opinions within a broad spectrum of legal areas, including Competition law, State aid, Public procurement, Internal market law (free movement of goods, persons, services and capital), Fundamental rights, Direct taxation, VAT, Customs union, International Private law, International law, Intellectual property rights, Data protection, Agricultural and fishing regulations, Banking law and Consumer protection law. Prior to his time as Advocate General, Henrik has had great experience working as a lawyer in commercial law. He has worked as both Head of Department in the office of Property and Obligations Law in the Ministry of Justice, acting judge at the High Court of Eastern Denmark and finally as Consumer Ombudsman, where he among other things has dealt with complex cases regarding the financial sector.

Jacob Skude Rasmussen

Jacob Skude Rasmussen has a broad practice that covers high-profile commercial disputes and business crime. He is frequently appointed as arbitrator and has experience sitting as arbitrator under national and international rules. Jacob also advises on international public law. Jacob Skude Rasmussen qualified for the Bar in 2009, gained right of audience before the High Court in 2012 and gained right of audience before the Supreme Court in 2017. He has been a partner at Gorrissen Federspiel since 2015. He is a former Senior Adviser at the legal service of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is also certified mediator and serves as an Advisory Board Member on the Danish Institute of Arbitration's Committee on Maritime Disputes.

Jacob Sandholt

Jacob Sandholt provides specialised advice on sector legislation within the field of energy law. Jacob has significant experience with Danish law, EU law and international law - across the value chain. Jacob has particular experience with regulatory matters, transactions and the drafting of relevant agreements. Jacob's expertise also includes public authority matters, for instance applying for and submitting permissions as well as handling complaints brought against the public authorities. Having previously worked for Energinet and Ørsted, Jacob has obtained in-depth knowledge of the energy sector and gained vast specialist knowledge of this field. Accordingly, Jacob is well versed with regulatory matters within the field of energy law and associated areas. Jacob has a Master of Business Law degree from the Copenhagen Business School and has also completed the LL.M programme "North Sea Energy Law Programme" at the universities in Groningen, Oslo, Aberdeen and Copenhagen.

Jacob Sand

Jacob Sand is head of the firm's Labour & Employment practice group. Jacob specialises in a broad range of employment law issues. Having worked for more than 3½ years as a Legal Secretary at the European Court of Justice and having acted as an active advocate before the EU Court, Jacob has state-of-the-art knowledge and understanding of all aspects of EU employment law. Jacob Sand combines this knowledge with profound insight into collective labour law. This means that he is one of the most widely used litigators in Labour Court cases.

Jakob Krogsøe

Jakob Krogsøe specialises in tax law and has extensive experience conducting legal proceedings on direct and indirect taxes, including VAT. Jakob is one of the leading lawyers in this area in Denmark. He has worked for the past 26 years conducting legal proceedings on direct and indirect taxes and has conducted a high number of cases before all court instances, including the Court of Justice of the European Union. Many of these cases have been of general public importance. Jakob has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and is a member of the Danish Association of Supreme Court Litigators. Jakob in particular conducts cases for Danish and international enterprises on business and corporation taxation, including transfer pricing. In addition, Jakob is highly experienced conducting cases on VAT and other indirect taxes. Jakob's track record places him among the very best in the country. In addition to assisting on civil tax proceedings, Jakob also has extensive experience conducting criminal proceedings on issues pertaining to direct and indirect taxes as well as advising on cases regarding direct or indirect taxes referred to us for a liability assessment.

Jakob Skaadstrup Andersen

Jakob Skaadstrup Andersen is Head of Tax at Gorrissen Federspiel. He has significant experience handling a broad variety of tax matters and disputes.

Jakob Plesner Mathiasen

Jakob Plesner Mathiasen is a specialist in consulting in IP law, including media and entertainment law. Jakob has wide experience with advising on copyrights, where he e.g. acts as permanent adviser for the majority of music companies in Denmark. By virtue of his expertise in copyright, Jakob has also been appointed Secretary of The Danish Copyright Society and National Group Director of IFPI Denmark. Jakob has profound insight into – and focus on – the digital development and the IP legal issues that arises from this. As a result of his focus on media and entertainment law, Jakob is editor of the textbook of entertainment law and an associate professor on the same subject at the University of Copenhagen. Jakob has wide experience in handling complex cases within media and entertainment law, including disputes, entering into agreements and strategic advice. Jakob has been an adviser on significant and complex cases regarding the scope of IP legal protection (including the first case worldwide that made it possible to order telecommunications companies to block copyright-infringing material on the Internet). As part of the strategic advice to rights holders, Jakob has been a key adviser with reference to the preparation - and implementation - of the rules on online platforms' liability for IP infringing material. Jakob also has profound insight into the collective management of copyright, which is characterized by being extremely complex and detailed. Here, Jakob has been involved in publishing the legal commentary on collective management of copyright. By virtue of his specialisation in the field, Jakob has published a number of the central books in the field of media and entertainment law as well as copyright law. In addition, Jakob - together with Professor Morten Rosenmeier - runs the podcast Entertainmentretten, where they on a monthly basis review the development within the legal field and analyse the most important cases and issues.

Jan Steen Hansen

For more than 20 years, Jan Steen Hansen has worked intensively with direct and indirect taxes. He advises Danish and foreign companies, pension funds, foundations, associations, public institutions and private individuals on matters relating to direct and indirect taxes. Jan is an experienced and recognised tax specialist, focusing, among other things, on tax in connection with M&A transactions, taxation of pension funds, company and shareholder tax, equity and venture funds, financial products, EU and international tax, VAT and other indirect taxes as well as tax in Greenland. Jan also assists our clients with obtaining advance tax rulings from the Danish tax authorities. A substantial part of his work involves complaints proceedings before the National Tax Tribunal and tax cases before the courts. Finally, Jan holds several positions of trust, providing him with first-hand knowledge of, among other things, new tax legislation and tax practice.

Jesper Avnborg Lentz

Jesper Avnborg Lentz specialises in real estate transactions and project development. Furthermore, Jesper has extensive experience with commercial lease law, construction law, real estate taxation issues as well as legal proceedings and arbitration cases concerning real estate.

Johan Casper Hennings

Johan Casper Hennings is partner in our Shipping / Offshore / Transportation Group practice group. Johan is a "go-to" lawyer in the firm's Shipping / Offshore / Transportation Group and specialises in maritime project work and transactional shipping and offshore matters adopting a commercial and pragmatic approach to, what are often, complex legal transactions. Johan advises clients on a broad range of areas within regulatory maritime law and has extensive experience with offshore projects, new-building projects for purpose build offshore vessels and negotiation of long-term charter parties relating to T&I, O&M and service employment work. Furthermore, Johan Hennings has been rated as 'Recommended Lawyer' in Legal 500 2023.

John Sommer Schmidt

John Sommer Schmidt heads up our Restructuring & Insolvency practice group. John specialises in distressed companies, focussing on both reconstruction, including voluntary arrangements, and winding up financially distressed companies and advice to creditors. John has extensive knowledge of and hands-on experience with all aspects of Danish bankruptcy and reconstruction law and also acts as a liquidator, reconstruction administrator and trustee.

Kenneth Kvistgaard-Aaholm

Kenneth Kvistgaard-Aaholm specialises in IP law and assists Danish and foreign companies within several IP law disciplines. He focuses on legal proceedings, transactions and advises on IP strategies. Kenneth heads up our team that handles and manages our clients' portfolios of trademarks and design rights all over the world. He has assisted a number of our clients in enforcing their trademarks in cases before the Danish courts. Kenneth has assisted clients with legal proceedings in Denmark as well as abroad. He has coordinated a number of foreign legal proceedings where Danish clients have either been sued or have sued others in one or more countries. Particularly, Kenneth has assisted in a large number of cases in the USA and Germany.

Kenneth Hvelplund Pedersen

Kenneth Hvelplund Pedersen assists Danish and foreign companies with threatening and pending litigation and arbitration proceedings. Kenneth has worked on a large number of cases before courts and arbitration tribunals. He has also negotiated and advised on many settlements that have spared the client lengthy legal proceedings. Kenneth has previously worked in our Corporate/M&A practice group where he gained insight into the business of many of our clients. In Corporate/M&A he advised on several significant IPOs and corporate acquisitions, among other matters. Kenneth uses this knowledge actively in his role as a litigator. Knowledge about the clients' businesses is a major strength in the effort to prioritise the issues of a case and obtain a good result in an environment where the battle lines have been drawn by disagreeing parties.

Klaus Søgaard

In recent years, Klaus Søgaard has concentrated his legal work on listed companies, specialising in the work as a chairman and as an adviser on securities law issues. Klaus presides at the general meetings in a number of the biggest Danish companies, including Novo Nordisk, Vestas, Danske Bank, FLS, Tryg and GN Store Nord A/S. Over the years, he has handled general meetings with substantial conflicts. He also advises the listed companies about the disclosure requirements applicable to them.

Kristian Gammelgaard Møller

Kristian Gammelgaard Møller advises clients on insolvency and private client matters. As for insolvency matters, Kristian advises financial institutions and other clients which face the challenge of insolvent customers or suppliers or where a client faces claims from a bankruptcy estate. Where insolvency leads to bankruptcy or restructuring proceedings, Kristian will administer the bankruptcy estate or the restructuring proceedings. In the private client area, Kristian advises on ownership structures, succession planning and prenuptial agreements, just as Kristian handles estates of deceased persons and provides advice to the beneficiaries. In addition, Kristian assists with division of property, and he has experience in setting up and advising funds. Kristian has knowledge and experience within the challenges in relation to succession and divorce, which international families may face. He can assist in preventing such challenges or handle the challenges in the best way possible, once occurred. In addition to law, Kristian has a special interest in financial matters and he has completed the Graduate Programme in Business Administration (Financing). Kristian takes a highly commercial approach to his legal work, always looking for the financially optimal solution for the client based on the individual needs and request of the client. Finally, Kristian is an experienced lecturer and presentation giver and author to legal publications.

Kristian Helge Andersen

Kristian Helge Straton-Andersen has worked within competition law for more than 15 years and advises on all areas of Danish and EU competition law. Kristian also advises on foreign direct investments. Kristian has extensive experience with merger control work, including more than 100 merger notifications to the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority, the European Commission, and foreign competition authorities. He advises clients on distribution agreements and other cooperation of a horizontal or vertical nature as well as conduct by dominant undertakings. He has extensive experience within the maritime sector, having advised ship owners and managers in this area since 2007. He represents clients before the Danish competition authorities, the Danish Competition Appeals Tribunal, and the European Commission.

Lars Grøngaard

Lars Grøngaard primarily assists Danish private and public creditors with the collection of their outstanding balances. In this connection, Lars has acted as trustee in a very large number of bankruptcy estates and he has also been the administrator in several reconstruction cases. Lars Grøngaard acts as trustee in bankruptcy estates and as reconstruction administrator in re-structuring proceedings. Also, Lars advice in relation to succession and handles estates of de-ceased persons.

Lasse Skaarup Christensen

Lasse Skaarup Christensen heads up our IP & Digital Business practice group. He assists large Danish and foreign companies with IP law, technology-driven or generally very complex or challenging cases. Lasse has advised on IP law issues, distribution issues in many countries, market law, licences, large sets of rights and on IP strategies in many different industries. He also has extensive experience with advising franchises, retail companies and other retail chains.

Lotte Eskesen

Lotte Eskesen heads up Gorrissen Federspiel's Banking & Finance and Dispute Resolution (litigation and arbitration cases) practice groups in the firm's Aarhus office. She has been admitted to the Danish Bar and is also a German "Rechtsanwältin". The fact that Lotte has been admitted to both the Danish and the German Bar means that she has extensive experience with handling cross-border dispute resolution and financing cases with a particular focus on Danish-German issues.

Maj Signe Mønsted

Maj specialises in finance law and cross-border as well as domestic financial transactions. As part of Gorrissen Federspiel's banking and finance team Maj advises clients about all types of lending transactions, including, among other, real property finance, corporate financings, construction finance, project finance, ship finance, refinancings, acquisition finance and bond issuances. Further, Maj advises on insolvency related matters and is also part of Gorrissen Federspiel's insolvency team.

Martin Dræbye Gantzhorn

Martin Dræbye Gantzhorn co-heads the firm's Life Sciences & Healthcare sector team, which provides leading advice to innovative international and national life sciences companies, including advisory and litigation support within regulatory, market access, transactions, capital markets/PE and product liability. Martin has decades of experience assisting life sciences companies at every step of the product life cycle and is an internationally recognised expert within regulatory life science, product liability and IP/trade secrets litigation. Knowing the pharmaceutical and medical device companies from within, he assists on various matters relating to (Nordic) market access, regulatory data protection, market strategies, regulatory approvals, PPP/OPS, pricing, clinical trials/studies, promotional compliance, PV, SOPs/audits and product liability.

Martin André Dittmer

Martin André Dittmer is the Managing Partner at Gorrissen Federspiel and heads the firm's EU & Competition practice group and advises our clients on all competition law issues. Martin's practice has particular focus on merger control in M&A transactions, and he has been involved in some of the most complex Danish mergers dealt with by the European Commission and the Danish competition authorities over the past years. Martin also works with regulatory matters and advises on competition law issues specific to the media industry, including telecommunications companies.

Max Gersvang Sørensen

Max Gersvang Sørensen assists Danish and foreign businesses in issues relating to data protection law and Ad-tech, including intra-group agreements, binding business rules (BCR), reporting to the Danish Data Protection Agency, data protection law assessments in relation to business transfers, including data flow mapping, risk analyses, privacy policies and training. Max has special experience in compliance projects, in acting as DPO and in commercial implementation, including online security in relation to children.

Michael Meyer

Michael Meyer provides advice concerning the acquisition and sale of undertakings in Denmark and abroad. He assists in relation to share issues, capital increases and other securities law issues and provides legal advice on regulatory as well as company and contract law issues. Michael has extensive experience in Danish and EU competition law.

Michael Wejp-Olsen

Michael practises in the fields of corporate and contract law, primarily focusing on domestic and international mergers & acquisitions and capital market transactions. Michael has extensive practical experience and expertise in advising on all aspects of corporate sales processes as well as public tender offers, private placements and corporate re-organisation transactions.In addition, Michael has extensive experience in advising Danish businesses and funds- on trust law and related issues. Michael has gained international experience through business law and corporate finance studies at the University of Chicago (LL M 2005) and Duke University and has for several been a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen.

Michael Steen Jensen

Michael Steen Jensen is a member of our Banking & Finance practice group and advises banks and financial institutions on all aspects of finance law, securities, securitisation, bond issues, project finance and the regulatory matters of financial institutions. He also advises on netting, financial collateral and clearing. Michael has extensive hands-on experience with establishing, acquiring, merging, selling and winding up financial institutions, and he is a director in the Danish Association of Banking and Finance Law.

Mikael Philip Schmidt

Mikael Philip Schmidt advises on securities law issues and M&A.Within securities law, his focus is the general disclosure requirements, IPOs and direct issues. The Danish market is Mikael's primary focus, but he also often provides assistance in foreign transactions. Mikael has been involved in a large number of major Danish IPOs and public issues and is the author of the book Prospektretten (prospectus law). Mikael also has extensive experience with all aspects of M&A transactions, including structured processes, PE-driven transactions, drafting and negotiation of transaction documentation and the subsequent legal work with the operation of the company. Finally, Mikael advises on all aspects of business law issues, general company law and company formation.

Mikkel Fritsch

Mikkel Fritsch advises Danish and international clients on all aspects of finance law, including in particular acquisition financing, project financing and general loan financing as well as securitisation and bonds issue. In addition, Mikkel's expertise encompasses the regulatory issues of financial institutions and verification of capital issues by especially banks as well as corporate law matters and M&A transactions.

Morten Nybom Bethe

Morten Nybom Bethe heads the firm's Banking & Finance practice and advises banks and financial institutions on all aspects of financial law, securities, structured products, securitisations, project financing and regulatory matters including netting, collateral and clearing. He has extensive experience in establishing, buying and selling financial institutions.

Morten Berggreen

Morten Berggreen advises on maritime related M&A transactions, ship construction, ship sale and purchase and financing matters. Morten also advises on all aspects of company law, including reorganisations, joint ventures, capital changes, corporate governance, incentive schemes and active ownership. Morten has experience with complex international restructurings, reorganisations and M&A transactions, including direct investments and sales as well as structured sales processes, and has been involved in the majority of recent shipping related M&A transactions in Denmark. Morten also advises and assists national and foreign companies on all aspects of selling and purchasing second-hand vessels as well as negotiating newbuilding contracts, and is recognised for his ability to draw on his financial background and commercial insight. In addition, Morten's expertise encompasses project and ship finance.

Morten Hans Jakobsen

Morten Hans Jakobsen's practice concentrates on the handling of distressed companies and on advising the transport sector with special focus on aviation, aircraft financing and ship financing but also financing in general. Morten's insolvency practice is particularly centered around restructuring but also includes all other aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency law. As regards transport, Morten renders advice to airline companies and the large shipping companies, but his practice also extends to rendering assistance and advice in relation to leasing, purchase/sale, regulatory issues, passenger rights, accidents, maintenance, registration, arrest, repossession and insurance matters.

Niclas Holst Sonne

Niclas Holst Sonne is partner in our Tax practice group. He has been engaged in tax law since 2004, with a continuous focus on transactions, international tax and the development of incentive programs. Niclas has for several years been recognised as a capacity in Denmark within his focus areas, and before joining Gorrissen Federspiel, he was partner and Co-head of EY's Danish Transaction Tax team. Niclas is often used as a speaker, e.g. in the framework of the Danish Tax Lawyers' Association and Danish Business Angels. He is furthermore Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee of Active Owners (formerly DVCA) and Nordic representative on the Tax Committee of Invest Europe.

Niels Bang

Niels Bang is Chairman of the Board and part of our Corporate/M&A practice group where he assists Danish and foreign companies in company law issues, securities law issues, M&A transactions, venture capital, shareholders agreements and incentive schemes. Niels has provided advice and conducted negotiations in connection with a large number of corporate acquisitions, mergers and restructurings in many different industries. He also has market-leading experience of venture investments and exits in life sciences. With more than 20 directorships, Niels has extensive experience as a director and an active discussion partner in issues relating to organisation and business. Niels uses his network actively to create business and transaction opportunities for his clients. He is furthermore chairman of the board of directors in Gorrissen Federspiel. He represents Denmark on the Company Law Committee under the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) and is a member of the board of the Danish Association for Company Law, the board of representatives of the Association of Danish Law Firms and of the committee for advice and knowledge service of the Confederation of Danish Enterprise.

Ole Horsfeldt

Ole Horsfeldt started out as a general commercial lawyer, but over the past 20 years he has become what you would call an outsourcing lawyer as an attorney who specialises in companies" outsourcing or sourcing of business processes, IT services or integrated facility services.

Peter Appel

Peter Appel heads up our Shipping/Offshore/Transportation practice group. Peter has considerable experience as a director and active discussion partner for managements in issues concerning the organisation of companies, day-to-day operations and strategy. As an adviser to a large number of the Danish shipping companies, he has also acquired expert knowledge of the shipping industry. Peter has an extensive international network, among other things, from his time as chairman of IBA's Maritime and Transport Law Committee. He provides assistance with infrastructure projects and has extensive knowledge about ferry service and train and harbour projects. He has extensive experience with matters pertaining to Greenland. Peter assists a number of Danish and international NGOs in the transport sector. He also has a political network and is often involved in cases that also involve social considerations and public opinion. Finally, Peter has extensive experience as a speaker and lecturer and he regularly speaks at company events, associations and educational institutions.

Preben Jakobsen

Preben Jakobsen specialises in national as well as international advice on reorganisation, reconstruction and bankruptcy. Among others, he advises lenders, financial creditors and companies on issues relating to security, avoidance, M&A, financing and management liability. Preben has been seconded with Holland & Knight LLP, New York working in the firm’s restructuring and insolvency group adding further depths to his international/cross-border experience on complex matters. Preben advises on business law issues with particular focus on construction law, including in relation to the drafting of contracts, negotiation, handling of defects and related issues. He also conducts legal proceedings on business law issues, particularly insolvency and construction law issues

Rasmus Høj Christensen

Rasmus Høj Christensen has many years of experience in advising on employment law. His primary focus is on advising on employee relations in connection with M&A transactions, outsourcing and restructuring, as well as informing and consulting employees in this regard. In addition, Rasmus Høj Christensen has extensive experience in both cash and share-based incentive programs, including transaction-based incentive agreements.

Rikke Schiøtt Petersen is a partner and co-head of the Corporate M&A and Capital Markets practice group of Gorrissen Federspiel and is recognised as a leading capital markets lawyer in Denmark. Being exceptionally experienced and highly skilled in public M&A and ECM deals, including major Danish IPOs, Rikke focuses on capital markets transactions, public and private M&A and corporate restructurings as well as advisory work on securities law and corporate law aspects, corporate governance and executive remuneration. Her clients include corporates, private equity funds, investment banks and institutional investors.

Sabine Brandhøj Overgaard

Sabine Brandhøj Overgaard assists Danish and international clients within all aspects of employment law. Among other things, she drafts employment contracts, terminations and severance agreements for individual or multiple employees and provides assistance with employment law issues in connection with M&A transactions. She also advises on issues relating to maternity, anti-discrimination, sickness, dismissal, bonus schemes and non-competition and non-solicitation clauses as well as legal proceedings. Søren Henriksen

Søren Henriksen assists our clients with advice on dispute resolution within all business matters in and out of court. Søren has particular experience with the complex high-profile cases that are characteristic of Gorrissen Federspiel. He has been deeply involved in the legal consequences of the financial crisis in relation to Danish bank failures, acting in cases regarding professional and managerial liability, and securities litigation. In addition, Søren specialises in international arbitration and has particular experience in disputes relating to the insurance, IT and construction sectors under the DIA, FAI, ICC and SCC rules. From previous work, Søren also has experience with private enforcement actions regarding competition law.

Søren Sandfeld Jakobsen

Søren Sandfeld Jakobsen assists our clients with Media, IT and telecommunications law matters, including the legal aspects associated with new technology, digital media and implementation of large digital transformation projects in corporate enterprises. Søren's experience also encompasses marketing law, IP law, contract law and transactions in general. Søren holds a position as professor of the law of property and obligations at CBS, Copenhagen Business School, and he therefore works part-time in our firm. He is the author of a long list of books and articles on subjects related to IT and media law. Over the years, he has acted on a large number of councils, boards and legislative committees. For instance, he currently serves as Chairman of the Radio and Television Board, Chairman of the Telecommunications Board of Appeal, alternate on the Data Council and board member of the Danish Court Administration.

Søren Fogh

Søren Fogh has for a number of years worked in financing, insolvency related issues and different aspects of insolvency proceedings. Søren Fogh has special experience with the purchase and sale of companies and the financing thereof. Furthermore, he has assisted with the purchase, sale, lease and financing of major assets, including aircraft and trains. Primary areas include all aspects in respect of private equity funds, including their establishment, structures and regulation as well as their investments. Further I assist in all forms of financing, both structured, acquisition and asset finance, including aircraft and rolling stock.

Søren Stæhr

Søren Høgh Thomsen

Søren Høgh Thomsen provides general advice on IP and commercial issues, including in particular on the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts. Søren has extensive experience in the areas of intellectual property right, patent law, design law, franchising, marketing law, the drafting of intellectual property right contracts and in providing advice on general intellectual property right issues. Steen Hellmann

Steen Hellmann advises public authorities, private businesses and technical consultants on all aspects of construction. Steen assists in the drafting and negotiation of contracts and has extensive experience in court and arbitration proceedings in the field of construction law as well as mediation and conciliation. Steen additionally assists in the planning, implementation and monitoring of calls for tenders for building and construction projects.

Steen Puch Holm-Larsen

Steen Puch Holm-Larsen is a partner in the M&A real estate group. Steen’s practice focuses on corporate real estate transactions. Sven Frode Frølund

Sven Frode Frølund specialises in M&A, M&A Real Estate and Private Equity.Providing structured and solution-oriented legal advice, Sven Frode assists, in particular, private equity clients, pension funds and other investors on acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures. He has many years of experience in cross-border transactions and advises several international private equity heavyweights on their Danish activities. Having started his career in Denmark, Sven Frode spent seven years in New York and London, practising as an attorney at law before the New York State Bar and subsequently being employed as an associate with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. At Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, he specialised in the M&A both within the Private Equity and Real Estate space across Europe and with a particular focus on the Nordics. Thomas Edelgaard Christensen

Thomas Edelgaard Christensen focuses on litigation and arbitration and advises on all legal areas specific to the shipping, port and yard industries and other maritime industries. Thomas advises on traditional maritime and transport law, commercial law in general as well as regulatory matters such as ship recycling, planning law, environmental permits, ferry services tenders, crewing and sea safety requirements, passenger rights and border control. Thomas has also experience in criminal law and internal investigations within these areas. Thomas has a particular knowledge of Greenlandic law, the laws of the seas and conflicts of laws issues, including in respect of Brexit. Finally, he has worked with aircraft financing and registration of security rights in aircraft in Denmark and internationally.

Thomas Maaberg Hansen has extensive experience in complex finance transactions and provides advice that focuses on the clients' commercial interests. Thomas advises Danish and international businesses, private equity funds and banks on financing and capital market transactions, including acquisition finance, project and asset finance and financial reconstruction. Thomas is recognised for his strong negotiating skills and commercial approach.

Tina Herbing

Tina Herbing is specialised in banking and finance law and advises on all aspects of debt financing, including in particular acquisition and general banking finance, bond issues as well as buyer credit and project financings. Tina has also advised on both the bank and company side in several large restructurings within the most recent years.
