Firm overview

Lindahl is one of Sweden’s leading business law firms, with approximately 300 employees across six offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Uppsala, Örebro and Helsingborg. With a history spanning more than a century, Lindahl advises Swedish and international companies on complex legal and strategic matters across the full spectrum of business law.

We combine specialist legal expertise with a commercial, pragmatic and forward-looking approach. Clarity, business understanding and a no-nonsense mindset are central to how we work, enabling us to provide advice that is both legally sound and commercially relevant.

Internationally, Lindahl operates as an independent firm, working closely with leading law firms across key jurisdictions. This gives us the flexibility to assemble the right team for each matter and provide seamless support to clients on complex cross-border transactions, disputes and other international mandates.

Main areas of practice
Lindahl is a full-service Swedish business law firm providing specialist advice across all major areas of commercial law. With a strong presence in Sweden’s key business hubs, we have built long-standing relationships with leading companies across a broad range of industries, advising them on both day-to-day legal matters and complex strategic projects.

Our lawyers combine deep legal expertise with strong sector knowledge, particularly within life sciences, technology and communications, energy and infrastructure, real estate, gaming and automotive.

Transactional work is a core part of Lindahl’s practice and has been a key driver of the firm’s growth in recent years. We have particular strength in public and private M&A, private equity, venture capital, banking and finance, and real estate, with a significant proportion of our mandates involving cross-border elements. Together with our growing dispute resolution practice, these areas form a central part of the firm’s offering.

Diversity & Inclusion
At Lindahl, equality and inclusion are integral to our long-term success. We are committed to creating a working environment where everyone has the opportunity to grow and thrive, regardless of background, gender identity or beliefs.

We actively promote equal career opportunities and have established a clear framework to support balanced work allocation, professional development and leadership opportunities across the firm. This commitment is reflected in our recent partnership appointments, which have been equally divided between women and men.

CSR & Pro Bono
We believe that legal expertise has an important role to play in contributing to a sustainable and fair society. As a firm, we are committed to giving back by supporting initiatives that create meaningful and lasting impact, particularly for marginalised and disadvantaged groups.

Lindahl supports several national and local initiatives, including city missions in many of the cities where we operate, as well as a long-standing collaboration with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

We also run one of Sweden’s largest business law communities for law students and young lawyers, through which we share knowledge and inspiration and organise the annual Lindahl Law School. The initiative is designed to support the next generation of legal talent in developing both legal expertise and commercial understanding.

Innovation & AI
Lindahl takes an active and strategic approach to the use of AI in legal services. In 2024, we implemented the legal AI platform Legora firm-wide, supporting our ambition to deliver increasingly efficient, high-quality and value-driven legal advice.

At the same time, we invest in developing our employees’ understanding and practical use of a technology that is transforming both the legal profession and our clients’ industries. Our approach is firmly human-centric: we use technology to enhance, rather than replace, legal expertise and professional judgment.

By combining technology with legal expertise, we aim to improve client outcomes, strengthen our internal capabilities and continuously develop how we deliver legal services.
