Erkko Ruohoniemi specialises in competition law related cases, such as merger control notifications to the Finnish and EU Competition Authorities as well as cases of abuse of dominant position and cartels. Erkko has more than 25 years of experience in public procurement law. He advises both procurement entities and private companies in public procurement issues and has successfully handled more than 200 procurement appeals in the Market Court or the Supreme Administrative Court. Erkko is co-author of a popular handbook on public procurement. He also has extensive experience in matters related to telecom and energy regulation, as well as advertising and marketing law.

Heidi Merikalla-Teir
Heidi is the Managing Partner of Merilampi. Heidi has extensive experience in domestic and international commercial arbitration, litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She regularly acts as an arbitrator and a mediator in both domestic and international disputes. In addition to being accredited as a mediator by the Finnish Bar Association, she is a CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) accredited mediator. Heidi is also a member of the Finnish Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Mediation. Prior to joining Merilampi, Heidi worked as a Director at the Finland Chamber of Commerce, heading its Dispute Resolution Services, and as the Secretary General of the Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce (FAI). From her career at the FAI, she gained unique experience and insight in arbitration and mediation. In her role, she supervised a significant number of arbitration cases, reviewed arbitral awards, and advised in the application of the FAI Arbitration and Mediation Rules. She was a member of the task force that drafted the FAI Mediation Rules. Previously in her career, Heidi worked for more than 12 years as an attorney and Specialist Partner at one of the largest Finnish law firms, where she specialised in commercial dispute resolution. In addition to her law degree, Heidi has an MBA-degree with a finance concentration.
