Career
In 2009 Rebecca was admitted to the bar and joined the Cologne office of avocado rechtsanwälte. The focus of her work is the provision of legal advice to contracting authorities and tenderers in all issues of German and European Public Procurement Law including the handling of anti-trust and state aids related issues. Additionally she provides legal advice to waste management enterprises as well as enterprises from the manufacturing industry regarding all aspects of Waste Management and European Law. Rebecca regularly holds seminars in the field of Public Procurement Law as well as Waste Management Law and publicizes regularly on that field. She is co-editor of the German legal journal on public procurement law VergabeFokus which is published by the Federal Gazette publishing house. Moreover, she wrote parts of a standard commentary on European and German Competition Law (Münchener Kommentar zum europäischen und deutschen Wettbewerbsrecht, 2nd Edition, Vol. 3: Public Procurement Law) and has published numerous papers on national and international waste law as well as public procurement law (e. g. as author of the German legal journal on procurement law Vergabepraxis & -recht ("VPR").

Education
Rebecca studied Law and International law at the Universities of Gießen and Utrecht/Netherlands.
During her legal studies she worked at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the firm`s office in Cologne. In addition, she finished her studies in International Law on a Public Procurement Law topic. In 2012, Rebecca was appointed a doctor of law on the basis of her dissertation concerning the public procurement of local public transport services.
